I currently have nine (9) Fullmetal Alchemist Roy/Ed fic in my WIP. As someone who only started writing in the last month, this is ridiculous. But I can't get the ideas out of my head!

In total, I have two (2) Time Travel fic, three (3) PWP's that - per my madness and against my will - gained fucking plot (pun intended), and another four (4) non-PWP plotfic.

I was going to write up a quick synopsis of each of my fic and post it in one go, but that ended up with over 2K words and was a pain to read on tumblr, so I decided to break it up into individual posts. Therefore:

A Xerxes Didn't Fall, Pygmalion/Pretty Woman AU with the traditional Ed-as-crown-prince foundation.

Crown Prince Edward is trying to get out of an arranged marriage, keeps sneaking out of the palace to go slumming it, and meets a prostitute named Roy. Hires Roy because he's pretty and Ed's about to be tied down against his will (specifically to a girl, yuck!) so he might as well sow wild oats while he can.

They get to talking alchemy as pillow talk and Ed realizes this guy is brilliant. A genius. An innovator. That his social status didn't allow for formal alchemical education but he'd been able to self study to some extent and the way his mind worked, the way he saw alchemy, was different than anyone Ed had ever met before.

Ed keeps coming back to Roy, hiring him for the night, and teaching him more formal alchemy/providing books while they were together. Roy is grateful for Ed's attention. He enjoys learning, enjoys Ed's company, and greatly enjoys the steady income because he's just about too old to be first pick at the Madam's anymore and his budget was getting tight.

Alphonse, the schemer of the two, realizes that Ed was starting to fall for someone he was secretly seeing before the wedding, finds out where he's going and with whom and - being the amazing little brother that he is - comes up with the plan to Pygmalion Roy into someone the Royal Court could accept. Ed is too nervous to bring the plan up to Roy (doesn't want to admit what he's feeling?) so Alphonse goes behind his back about it but doesn't admit what the end game is to either of them, just offers to teach Roy upper class etiquette and stuff.

So Roy gets an alchemical/science education from one brother and a social education from the other - all while not knowing they were the royal princes, just thinking they were bored upper class kids going slumming. By the time of the wedding, he thinks he could probably start his own business or something, pass himself off as upper class. Doesn't realize he wasn't given an upper class education like Al promised but a noble/court/royal education instead.

He finds out who Ed and Al actually are when Al shoves him in robes and drags him to the wedding. Realizes he's caught feelings just as the wedding begins. Thinks Al is being cruel and his position as Ed's whore is being rubbed in his face.

Instead, Alphonse interrupts the wedding to announce he's in love with the bride - Winry Rockbell, daughter of the Patrician Yuriy Rockbell, Royal Surgeon - and won't see her married to his brother and miserable about it no matter the politics involved. Announces, too, that his brother was in love with someone else as well, then he pushes Roy at Ed while Winry runs into his arms.

Cue Chaos.

But Ed's supposed to get married at this age/on this day for some religious/cultural reason and the court insists he goes through with it. So suddenly Roy finds himself the bride of a client he'd foolishly fallen for, in a marriage he wasn't even aware was going to happen until this morning, in front of the entire royal court and the actual King. The wedding continues but now its a double with and Ed/Roy and Al/Winry both.

No one at court ever finds out about Roy's background (except maybe Hohenheim) and he uses his newfound political power as Prince Consort to overhaul the country's education system to help people like him achieve social mobility and financial solvency.

Roy turns out to be more politically savvy than Ed and functionally runs the country in Ed's name when Ed ascends the throne. (Because he's apparently an alternate-universe version of Empress Theodora of the Byzantine/Eastern Roman Empire.)

Ed with a ponytail and his outfit from the epilogue at the end of the show where he’s an adult really does it for me. I think it would do it for Roy too. Ed is hot as an adult what can I say.

This is gonna be my only contribution to Royed wedding week because I gotta work and it makes me tired and this piece which was initially just gonna be a sketchy lil thing took 7 hours because I’m a perfectionist and I regret trying to do backgrounds every time 🤡

This is actually a heaps timely prompt because I’m getting married in 5 months and my fiancée has been struggling to choose suit colours.

So this has been a fun research into my fav wedding suit colour schemes that I know he will never wear - so I force my fav fma boys to wear them instead ofc 🤵‍♂️🤵‍♂️

After like a 8 year hiatus. I have been heaps active on my furry twitter accounts for art but have neglected drawing people for years.

I don't know if it's western/american puritanism or a foundational belief that Good Men Wouldn't Do That or what.

Like, yeah, he calls a bunch of Chris's employees his sisters but they're not really related and not every employee is going to be that to him. Chris will have hired on new girls since he moved out, for one.

Personally, I figure the mystique around sex and prostitution would have long worn off and he would have a very practical view on the matter. You hire a plumber to update the pipes, a mechanic to change your tires, an accountant to do your taxes, and a prostitute for sex. They're professionals, its just a job.

In my fic, Roy really only ever has sex with professionals after Ishval. He sees sex as transactional and so is perfectly happy to pay for it. Keeping sex as a business transaction also protects him from anyone catching feelings or becoming a liability to his ambitions.
