i hope i don’t ruffle any feathers with this question but i’m really just curious:

why do y’all customize original furbies?

i have nothing against it but i really want to know why y’all do it. for me i could never bring myself to alter an old vintage toy from its original glory. i just feel like they’re too rare and special to try and change permanently :/

it’s kind of a shame i feel like this because some of the eyechips i’ve seen on here are beautiful and if i had the opportunity to own a custom i would, but i could never do it to one of my own. i’m also conflicted with the whole altering concept considering i’ve plushified one of mine, but i could never paint on it or change the eyes etc.

do y’all feel any weirdness or furby-guilt when you alter them? or do you do it because it makes you happy and that’s all there is to it?
