Asher throw open his fathers office door and stormed in before slaming the file down on the desk. “You gave Candace the smith case even after everything Dale and I did for it, What the hell Dad.” He half shouted in complete outrage, he was absolutely fuming.
James didn’t even seem fazed by Asher’s actions and he crossed his arms at him. “Don’t speak to me like that,” James pointed out. “It’s extremely rude.”
“Yeah well your being rude by taking this case off us after all our hard work.” Asher said in frustration.
“I think she’ll do a good job,” James said dismissively.
“And what we wouldnt?” Asher argued.
“I don’t have to justify why I make these decisions,” James pointed out.
“You do when i spend hours away from my son and wife to help on this case.” He responded now crossing his arms. “Now Candace gets to take the glory, i dont think so. Unless your actually setting her up to fail.”
“If I put a different agent on and not Candace, would you still be acting like a child?” James asked him in annoyance. “I forgot who was in charge here.”
“Yes I would be because it was suppose to be our case. What changed?” He asked tapping his foot in annoyance.
James had various reasons as to why he had given Candace the case, but he wasn’t going to give them all to Asher. “I wanted a different perspective on it,” James told him as he leant back in his chair. “An objective one. You and Dale had spent a lot of time on it, and I think Candace could bring something different.”
“That is a stupid answer.” Asher replied in anger.
“It’s the answer I’m giving you,” James retorted. “And with this attitude I’m glad I’m not giving it to you.”
Asher threw him a very dirty look before storming around to his desk, opening up the draw and taking out the cigarettes. He grabbed the notes off his fathers desk. “Candace can get her own dam notes she aint using mine.” He spat before walking to the door before stopping. “Oh and I can also play the taking away game, no Zashy time until i deem it appropriate.” He smirked looking back at his father
James tried his best not to react at Asher taking the cigarettes or the notes, but it was the takkng away of time with Zasha that pissed him off. “You can’t do that,” James snapped at him. “This has nothing to do with him.”
“I can do that given he is my son.” Asher pointed out knowing he hit his father where it hurt.
“If you’re trying to blackmail me with your son because you didn’t get what you wanted, that’s a bad decision on your behalf,” James muttered.
“Hardly blackmail. I dont expect you to change your mind, so i will just take away something you like to show you how much it sucks.” Asher pointed out.
“Why don’t you go and blackmail your sister to give it back to you,” James said to him in annoyance.
“Because its not up to her is it” Asher pointed out. “Werent you the one who just pointed out you were in charge?”
“I won’t take it away from Candace unless she decides she doesn’t want it,” James shrugged.
