“I’m not being defensive, you’re annoying me. I don’t even know you are and yet every single time you see me you try to get after me because of the Kingsman thing. You’re right, I was a hunter, and you’re right, I am a hunter, shocker. Every single person in this place knows that. It’s common knowledge, so why ever the fuck you keep trying to bring it up just stop. I mean, at least I’m actually doing something for this damn community. What do you do besides mix drinks at my fucking fiance’s bar? If people want to drink and have fun let them drink and have fun. You hardly have any right to be the morality police around here, so let people just do what they want and if you want to bitch go do it somewhere else.”

    “you don’t go from trying to kill innocent supernaturals- people- and then suddenly be all buddy buddy and try to fight for their rights. that doesn’t happen. you don’t go around cornering innocent young people where they’re helpless, minding their own business, try to kill them, and then sit on the council. so- i don’t trust your family and i don’t trust you. and it would take something huge to make that change.”

“Wow, hunter, nice. Have any more scathing insults in that head of yours? I really couldn’t care less what you do, stay or leave, whatever floats your boat, but to go around bitching about the party and trying to draw attention to yourself? It’s more than a little pathetic if you ask me. I mean, no offense, but I’d consider it even tackier to show up at a party that I weren’t even directly invited to and do nothing but complain the whole time about what everyone else was doing, but hell, what do I know?”

    “probably. i mean, i don’t know what crawled up your ass. i’m not insulting the party. i think it’s very nice. i’m saying getting shitfaced isn’t something that should be happening somewhere like this? and, i mean, you don’t know much. that’s clearly obvious. it was an open invitation to the supernatural community. oh- and humans. but, as for complaining, i wasn’t. but, again, go be overly defensive about the wrong thing.”

“I thought that much was obvious— the booze.”

    “that’s not too terribly obvious. i mean, you could like the company.”

“I get it. I’m just not trying to focus on that part because it’ll just piss me off. And I don’t want to be pissed off tonight.”

    “i’ll keep you company and try my hardest to be as chill as possible. no guarantees, but it won’t be directed to you at the least.”

“There’s a beer pong table– it’s definitely a party.”

    “i mean. okay, you might not be wrong... but.. yeah, it’s in bad taste. i get wanting to celebrate someone. i prefer that to intense mourning. but...”

“Then leave. Nobody asked you to be here. If you don’t like it, don’t let the door hit you on the way out. It’s not like you knew him anyway.”

    “wow. put away the claws, hunter. i was being civil saying maybe getting pissface drunk isn’t in the best taste, even if you want to celebrate. but, i mean, if you’re one to be that sort of tacky. be my guest. though, since it frustrates you this much- i’m staying.”

“A little bit of both. But, I agree wholeheartedly. There’s no way I’m leaving after this. In fact, this just goes to show how much they’re scared of us and the change we’re bringing.”

    “then what’s your plan? i mean. i’ll be there with ya. so make sure i’m included within reason.”

“Well obviously, that’s why we planned it this way, but still.”

    “but the drinking games are in bad taste. i love cheers to the governor as much as the next girl. but there’s a time and a place.”

Both! I mean, in my family, if someone dies, we sit in silence for twenty four hours to pay our respects.

    “oh! uhm. i mean, that’s one way to do things. we always had a funeral and then a GIANT potluck after.”

“Thank god. Frankly, I don’t think I could listen to another eulogy, or whatever.”

    “is it getting that annoying? i mean, if it’s getting that bad why are you still here?”

“I agree. Especially since we’re celebrating someone who just died. But there’s no shame when it comes to getting all the alcohol you want.”

    “that’s still tacky as shit. i dunno. i find it disrespectful. you’re here to pay respects, not to make an ass of yourself. not necessarily you in particular but the omniscient you.”

“We’ll have to bunker down, we’re always stronger together.”

     “we us, or we supers? because either sound good. i know that this hasn’t dissuaded me. it would take something huge; massive- for me to run with my tail between my legs.”

This is probably the only party of this extent I’ve ever been to and this is ridiculous.

    “you’ve lost me here. the party of death or all the absolutely drunk people making asses of themselves?”

“Not really sure what the next steps even are? After this, where do we go? We’re not safe here anymore.”

    “i’m not leaving. this is my home, too. they’ll have to drag me away tooth and claw.”
