Finally, he had finished preparing everything. He sat down on one of the pillows and lit a cigarette, waiting for Jamie. Cameron wasn't the sappy kind of guy. He was a bit cold and distant and tended to isolate himself from people when things got too... complicated. He could flirt and fool around with girls, but nothing more than that. Jamie was different. She was the opposite of him; happier, lovely, bubbly. His friendship was relaxed and nice and Jamie soon got under his skin. He didn't plan on telling her he liked her, but after seeing her reaction, he didn't regret it at all.Â
After hearing it had been her first kiss, he felt the need to make something nice for her. The idea just sort of popped into his head immediately. He wanted to take her to the Astronomy tower, because it was his favourite place in the entire castle. Cameron loved its peacefulness and silence, plus the view was great. He took all the pillows he could find around his dorm (his roommates would hate him later), which he would use to build a pillow fort, as they had planned before. He also brought some blankets, so they wouldn't be chilly and lastly he went down to the kitchens for some food. He knew Jamie well enough to know she would get hungry somewhere down the road. He basically took any single sweet thing that the elves gave him and a couple of other main courses. He was a bit out of his league here, and didn't know what to do. He just wanted to make Jamie happy with some romantic, even though he was terrible at it. Â
He sat there smoking his cigarette, feeling rather silly surrounded by pillows, food and a few candles, as he waited for the Potter girl.Â
