1. Only females can be Littles.

OK, let me stop you right there. Not all Littles are girls. Being Little has nothing to do with gender. Being Little is a mindset and those aren’t gender locked. There are boy Littles, girl Littles, gender fluid Littles, polygender Littles, and genderless Littles.

2. Only males are Bigs.

No, just no that notion completely dismisses all of the female and NB Bigs in the community. Just like how a Little can be any gender so can our counterparts.

3. All Littles are sexual.

While this may certainly be the case for some this doesn’t hold true for all Littles. Every Little is different and so is their attitude about sexual aspects. Many many Littles are easily taken out of Little space by sexual material-thus the importance for stating your SFW status. If you’re curious about whether your friends or partners Little side is sexual it’s as simple as asking them.

Just like all Littles aren’t sexual the same can be said for Bigs. Remember it all comes down to the individual. 

4. All Littles are in D/s (power exchange) relationships.

Ha, no. This is something I wish I knew when I entered the community. There are plenty of Littles who aren’t submissive to their Big-there are some Bigs who are submissive to their Littles! There’s no rule saying a Little has to be submissive-just like there’s no rule saying a Big has to be dominant. 

It’s important to know that for most Littles this isn’t a kink, it’s who we are. The journey doesn’t always end with a Little being a submissive. It’s OK to just identify as a Little-it doesn’t make you any less welcome in our community, I promise.

5. All Littles regress and have an age for their Little space.

Not all Littles regress and if you don’t it doesn’t make you any less of a Little. There is nothing wrong with Littles who don’t have an approximate or definite age for their Little selves. 

We hear a lot about babies and littles, but what about the toddlers?

The ones who:

are perfectly capable of talking but choose to whine and throw a fit instead.

can use the potty, but still like to wear diapers sometimes.

sometimes want big kid clothes and sometimes want onesies.

can technically sit up by themselves, but why do that when you can be held in someone’s lap?!

think that walking is just too hard and inconvenient compared to being carried.

prefer to be fed rather than feed themselves.

eat their food in little bite-sized pieces.

use sippy cups and bottles because why not?

exclaim “I’m big! I can do it myself!” about some things and cry for help with other things.

sometimes want to learn all the things and sometimes think ignorance is bliss.

can be an annoying little menace or the perfect sweet child.

can be a baby one minute and a big kid the next.

Just out walking my doggie I’m an8 yo boy inside & that’s ok - I’ve battled with it being perceived as just a fetish although to me it starts with my inside first, sexy stuff is like whipped cream on top, but I don’t have to feel sexy to feel little, I don’t feel little really I just feel me, which is little… anything sexual came out of being more true to myself, and that feeling of having true happiness and peace within myself

The difference between life and a roller coaster is that in life you have some control, you can choose from a few different directions at times for example, the cork screw or the loopy loop, the one big hill or the three small ones. These are the decisions we have to make. There may be a couple times where you think about getting off the ride early, and I promise to you that it's not worth it. One reason is that you will regret it because you may see a cool part of the ride that you can't experience anymore, and two is that there are other people on that ride with you, in carts attached to yours. If you choose to get off those people with you will be upset or sad it will slow down their ride and if they see you get off they will feel bad, miss you, and maybe even get off themselves.

So if you feel like you're useless just remember that there is bound to be something up ahead that you will love! Something you will remember forever. And no matter what lies ahead you have to push through that fear and doubt! You need to keep living life! Eventually it will stop naturally, and you look back and think, "I'm so happy i toughed it out", you'll get off and feel much better than if you got off part way through.
