The chicken just goes and does what Courage does, and yeah, that's normal. The change is that the chicken's kids, knowing that Courage now spends a lot of time at school, infiltrate it to try and destroy it. Although after a few days they end up in a photography club and end up enjoying themselves. In the end, to stay, they send their mother pictures every day of them torturing the dog until the last day of school (even though they only ask Courage to pose as if it were actually happening)
