What you overlooked in the TRON Universe
For just about everyone new to the franchise, the TRON series is very confusing, especially after the release of TRON: Legacy and the TRON: Uprising TV series. Much of their presentation is far from obvious, requiring imaginative reasoning in order for some of the ideas to maintain continuity.
If you didn't figure out such concepts, or if you thought they contradicted each other, I don’t blame you; I was just as confused as you were when I first saw them. After all, TRON and TRON: Legacy are flawed movies. But unlike most modern action movies, they get better after multiple viewings and are easier to understand after thinking about them for more than five seconds. And yes, I realize that I am not the first to come up with these.
This isn’t about whether or not TRON is good or bad, it’s about how it can make sense, given the right perspective.
