Happy Veterans Day!  We are grateful for their service.

Nov 11, 2015, we mark our country’s National Day of Remembrance and recognition for all of those who are serving or have ever served in our nation’s Armed Forces. We here at C-A-L Ranch Stores have a deep appreciation for our country’s veterans and we would like to thank them for serving and protecting our freedom which we are so grateful for.Some of our employees and their family members have proudly served all over the world in various wars and conflicts. 

This service has left a rich historical legacy in each of their families. Sometimes it’s found in actual genealogical resources online, but most of the time it’s found in family stories passed down through the generations. These stories are valued beyond measure because they tie generations together and leave a proud heritage for their descendants.

As I write this article I’m reminded of the stories I was told by my maternal grandfather, a veteran of World War II. I recall sitting at his knee as a child hearing all about his experiences in the U.S. Army as my imagination ran wild. For the most part it scared the heck out of me, but nevertheless I listened to those stories over and over again. In fact, I asked so many questions each time that I can still recall most of them today.

CAL Ranch Stores are so grateful for all of those that have proudly served our country and protected our freedoms across the world and we want to wish all of you a Happy Veterans Day.
