This is gonna sound so stupid.

When I was a kid, I used to have this reoccurring dream where I would get chased up and down one of those twisty staircases by a man in a giant heart costume. Like...the organ. A giant organ heart costume.

Okay first of all how dare you. Second of all we will rectify that ASAP, because I go there pretty often to look for stuff to decorate my office with and find new books. As soon as I know who your dad is, because that’s a lot cooler than having a college professor as a dad. But your secret is safe with me. There’s this super cool diner I go to a lot. Apparently it’s been here since my dad was a kid, but it reminds me of when New Yorkers who retired to Florida would open up northeast-style diners. The food is greasy and no good for you but so worth it. And the milkshakes are to die for.

Listen, I read my dad’s - I don’t have an obligation to anyone else. But if you have any suggestions for a beginner, I could possibly be swayed. If you want, I have a couple books lying around my apartment you could borrow. You just gotta promise to give them back.

That’s settled, then. You’re gonna help me pick out some comic books and I’m gonna buy you a milkshake. I mean - if you’re down.

You know, it seems like everyone keeps telling me to just go to the bar. I’m not a huge bar guy, but I guess I might have to listen to them.

That does seem to be everyone’s go to. Especially to have fun. Can’t say they’re wrong though. Who doesn’t like to drink? Only weirdos.

The activities around Monte is pretty lacking besides Bar None there aren’t really any other things to do during the late evenings.

Hey, it’s totally fine. Most people still give me weird looks when I tell them I do Youtube. I’m used to it at this point. I mean there’s a comic book store? That’s about the most exciting thing I do besides go out to get food. I work a lot.

I gotta admit something to you - I don’t know enough about comics to say so. It’s probably a crime, considering my dad is an illustrator....but it’s fine. I won’t tell if you don’t.

No, as in I stream Animal Crossing and people watch. Like…a lot of people. It’s not lame when it’s a better career than I would have had if I finished college. If fixing it requires leaving I don’t know if I want to do that.
