The first woman in history was not named Eve. In this language we refer to her as such but that isn’t her real name. It’s a name given to her which does not carry the same meaning nor the importante of her true name. If we search for the original name of the first woman (on the biblical sense) her real name is Chavah, from the word chayah “Living One, to live, to give life” and Havav “to breath”. I was reading lightly on google…of course, according to the Torah is “The mother of All”. But the one i like the most is mother of life. Birthing life and not only birthing a living to which I understand as an important distinction and all this rambling has a point I promise. I’m not sure if I should call myself an atheist, I believe in many things even idiotic things but if I could believe in a God, singular…I am certain of one thing, if God was to exist, She would be a woman, and if she was a woman she would be a mother in all sense of the word. Thinking about you is now accompanied by the thought of you being a mother, not as a label nor I’m trying to reduce you to a roll in this life, but I see the new meaning in you now like a missing piece in my idea of you…like now watching from afar, it makes all the sense of the world. As if you were always a mother. A life giver….not always birthing beings and precious humans like Rafaelito, but giving life to others in other ways and shapes. A smile, a simple courtesy, a hug, a touch, a kiss, your tears and all the poetic bits you already know I think about of. Maybe also ideas or feelings, maybe just words, you have always given me words and all those words combined have made me love you. Maybe a few things always get lost in translation between us but I wonder if there is love in there too, through the cracks. I hope you had the happiest of birthdays, full of love and full of life. I love you.
