Curing Soberness | Callison
I reach for the plate, not remembering if I ate lunch today and grab a hot wing with some dip.Ā I eat it in a few bites and lick my lips before starting to talk again. Ā āSof loves shopping.Ā Sheās our little tomboy princess.ā I say with a chuckle. Ā āShe likes to run around and wrestle with daddy, but tell her to do it without her dress or dance shoes and sheāll throw a fit.ā Ā āHonestly, I think Val and I both need a little vacation time.Ā And by that, I clearly mean together.Ā And away from the kidsā I say, clarify and shaking my head with a smirk. Ā āLove them to pieces, but just need more then a few minutes of adult time where little finger arenāt peaking under the bathroom door or around the corner, you know?ā I ask, smiling more.Ā āAnd to think, you where so close to leaving that stage in the past, Lenaās on her own a lot now, and youāre just going to jump back into it. But itāll be nice, you know, and so worth it.āĀ I shove a few fries in my mouth and give my friend some time to process. Ā
