Alone in the City by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: While walking through the urban landscape of a city like Atlanta, I didn't expect to turn my head and find a horse. Not on the edge of town on a hidden farm, but standing in a lot under a sign surrounded by busy streets. I came to the conclusion that this was either where they kept the horses that pull the carriages downtown or a police horse. Either way, was an odd thing to see, kinda felt sorry for it being all cooped up. This was shot in JPG using a filter set up in the camera beforehand, there was no post-processing.
Fluting around by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: This is my friend Mike during one of his visits. He had discovered some flutes at our friend Shoshana's house and we got an impromptu flute demonstration. This was shot with a Canon Rebel digital. It was shot in JPG using filters within the camera, there was no post-processing.
Ready for spring by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: I arrived in Colorado from Hawaii, imagine my surprise to see snow on the ground. In walking around on that first day I found these little guys pushing through to the sun. They seemed unphased by the snow. I, however, was freezing! I shot this in JPG using a filter set up in the camera, there was no post-processing. In those days the delete button was my edit.
Broadcast America by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: I was in Indianapolis during a Superbowl, because of this there was lots of stuff going on as you can imagine. One of the coolest was an old federal building that was used to house a temporary art show. Each room had its own installation. It was amazing! My friend Scott and I took the whole day and made our way through it. This was one of the rooms, Scott is standing in front of the exhibit. This was shot in JPG using a filter set up in the camera. There was no post-processing.

Early Lab by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: I am a sucker for a good museum, I am a bigger sucker for a good medical museum. I have been to a couple of them, this is one that I found in Indianapolis. It was a medical school that was turned into a museum, it was very cool indeed. This was obviously shot in the old lab. I was fascinated by the old equipment and how much they were able to do with it, amazing! This was shot in JPG using a filter set up in the camera before shooting. There was no post-processing.

Smiling Baby Girl by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: I love new humans, I love the opportunity to meet them. This little girl I met in Michigan while I was thinking I wanted to be a portrait photographer. She is the granddaughter of a long time friend who was gracious enough to let me do a shoot with her. Good fun. It was shot in JPG using a filter set up on the camera, there was no post-processing.
My favorite spot on the Island by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: I love Hawaii, but who doesn't! One of my favorite things to do is hang out at Ala Moana park on the weekends. It is a park that is next to Waikiki, but on the weekends it is filled with local families enjoying each others' company. They have bouncy houses, food, and usually music. The kids are surfing or running the beach as the adults laugh and talk. It is a love fest, and I soak it in. It also happens to be one of the best places to catch the sunset. So I will hang out until this magical event happens. This is just one of the many that I caught. This was shot in RAW and processed on Linux using Darktable.
We are stardust by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: This is a portrait of my dear friend Poppy, it is part of my "garden" series. This was a great day, we ran all over Atlanta making art, interacting with art and being generally artistic. It was wonderful! This image was shot in RAW and processed in Linux using Darktable.
Peanut Butter and Pickles by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: So this image has a story behind it. It is not the greatest portrait picture in the world. I mean the lighting is not great, there is a way too much going on in the background, and generally speaking, It is not one of my best works, but the story is great. My cousin and I decided to work on a project, the project consisted of him giving me titles and I would have to come up with an image to fit it. Of course, he was trying to come up with ridiculous things. He came up with the title "Peanut Butter and Pickles". So I set out to figure out how I wanted to shoot this. I didn't just want to slather some pickles in peanut butter. I wanted it to be creative and fun. So I was in Atlanta attending an annual picnic at Oakland Cemetery hosted by a friend of mine. I looked over to see this kid in period paper boy clothes eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I looked next to him and seen sliced cucumbers, that I took to be pickled. I was like, man this is perfect! So I went over and introduced my self to him and mother, and they let me shoot this picture. Now, we fast forward a couple of years and I was working on my "Precious Human Life" project seeking subjects. Lisa, the mother contacted me, not remembering this little exchange. In our exchange on FaceBook, I keep thinking how familiar she looks. Then it all comes back to me. Since then I have shot her and her son several times and consider her a valuable friend. The power of art! This was shot in JPG using a filter in the camera set up before. There was no post-processing.
Above the center ring by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: When I was in Michigan I had the opportunity to go to the circus with my family. Let me tell you, nothing will make you feel like a kid again like going to the circus with your mom! Anyway, It was a great opportunity to snap some pictures. This one is of the aerial artists flying high. This was shot in JPG using a filter set up in the camera before shooting. There was no post-processing.

Lab Tubes by Caleb Storms Via Flickr: I am a sucker for a good museum, I am a bigger sucker for a good medical museum. I have been to a couple of them, this is one that I found in Indianapolis. It was a medical school that was turned into a museum, it was very cool indeed. This was obviously shot in the old lab. Although I felt like I may catch something deadly in this room, it was still pretty awesome. This was shot in JPG using a filter set up in the camera before shooting. There was no post-processing.
