need some new love

Beatriz laughed softly with the difference in their dogs. It was the nose of the Basset Hound that got the better of her, but she was glad to give the dog to the space to be her true and free self. "Funny how different they are," she admitted with a shake of her head. "She's attached to my hip at home but as soon as we get to the park, I might as well be like her least favorite snack or something." Beatriz joked, though she looked fondly out at the dog that was still nose to ground. @calebhuntington

"yeah it's crazy how different dogs can be when the only thing separating them is their breed. like i've seen dogs of different breeds raised together and they do the same exact things. i guess it all just depends on the day honestly." caleb responded to beatriz while a laugh escaped between his lips. "they know they need to sniff around everywhere when they're in a place like this and we become chopped liver."

He sighed, "It happens." Work sometimes came at the moment's notice. "What he gets for having a cool job when he's all in need," he teased, only kidding. He smiled as he went and finished typing their names in. "Coke or whatever is fine with me," he knew not everyone around him had to not drink; he could be around it. He was starting to trust himself more with that, but it was nice when friends and others didn't have it too, so it wasn't just him. "But this will be fun," he was excited for the game now, over playing alone. @corinnebeaumont.

"yeah coke is good with me too, i will go and get the pitcher if you want to enter our names into the game." caleb offered as he flashed river a smile and then he walked away for a moment to get them the pitcher of soda and two plastic cups since he seemed to not be trusted with a real glass, which honestly was probably a good idea because caleb could be a bit of a clutsy person. "i think this will be fun too. i'm not the best so i don't know how good i'm going to do, any chance we can get the bumpers put on?" he joked as he laughed.

"You are right about that," as much as she didn't want to admit so, because if there was a kid it would make much more sense. "Yeah, this place is worse for wear," she wrinkled her nose, standing up from where she had been cleaning. "Shall we risk our safety and search for a kid's room?" Her brow arched with her question, "I don't think we are going to get much done unless we know. It's just going to be nagging us in the back of our minds until we do." @calebhuntington

"i think that i won't be able to sleep unless i know for sure that there's a child's room here. i feel like i'll be wanting to come back and check in every once in a while if i don't know for sure if there's a child that lived here or not." he replied and then nodded along with her, "yeah that too. i want to be able to just get this over with and then move on."

caleb had brought duke to the dog park so that he could get some socialization while getting some energy out. he was two but he still ran around like he was three months old and it seemed to never tire him out but with the sun, other dogs, and stimulation of running around caleb was hopeful that this was going to do the trick. "honestly, i think if i even left this spot mine would look up and look around for me. he's so attached to me, like he will go and play and whatnot but he will know if i disappear or even think about leaving which is kind of weird."

"Cupcakes from Seaside Sweets." Matt told him as he held up the box. As Caleb listed what he got, his stomach started growling. "Damn. That sound amazing. We're having a feast tonight, huh?" He chuckled as he kicked off his shoes and smiled at his best friend. "So, I have something to ask you and I know it may be early to do this, but I wanted to do it as quick as possible." Plus, there was still part of him that thought he'd lose Logan before the wedding and he wanted to make plans about the wedding, at least who was going to be in his wedding party, fast. It all rooted to his fear of losing another person he loved. @calebhuntington

"oh dang.. that's awesome. what flavors did you bring? did you get me some good ones? you know that i can always destroy a cupcake!" caleb replied to matt while looking at him and then nodded. "i figured we get a little bit of everything because i was craving a lot of things so it just made sense." a soft laugh escaped through caleb's lips as he thought about how he probably did get too much food but leftover chinese was even better than fresh chinese. "okay...?" he asked the other as he looked at matt and then raised an eyebrow, not sure where his friend was going.

After all these years, Caleb was still one of Matt's best friends. They dated way back in high school and after breaking up, they still remained friends; hanging out and talking about each other's lives. So it wasn't a big surprise when Caleb invited him over for dinner and Matt brought over some cupcakes for dessert. "You think I'd miss this?" He smirked and gave his best friend a hug. "What did you get? Smells amazing." @calebhuntington

a lot of people might've thought it was weird that caleb and matt had managed to remain friends after their breakup, but he didn't care what others thought. caleb was happy to have someone in his life like matt. "i didn't think so and what did you bring? i'm sure it's something amazing as usual. i got some different things from the chinese restaurant. some lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoons, rice, and general tso's chicken. i wanted to make sure there was a little bit of everything!"

Adina's nose was wrinkled, even after she discarded the mess of a Barbie doll into the trash bag. "We probably should, just for our own sanity." She looked back at the other, "I mean, it's not like we can do anything if there isn't a kid's room here." Adina stated, "But I can tell you at least I won't have nightmares moving forward if we find one." At the current moment, Adina was certain that the Barbie doll was going to keep her up at night. "Have you found anything else that might indicate a kid?" @graysonxwright

"i think it's not even for our own sanity but for our own concern and safety." caleb laughed as he looked around. "i haven't seen any other indication of a child but that doesn't mean anything with how much of a mess this place is. i don't know i fi could find anything in here." he explained. "i guess we are going to have to go searching around just to make sure that there is a child's room because i am going to need to know right away."

River was playing with one of his co-workers and friends and had already done a round, but his friend had a call and had to head off to work. River was a bit sad to end up alone, but he understood. He was getting ready to set up another round when someone came up to him. Caleb came up to him, whom he had met a couple of times around town. "Hey," he grinned, then laughed, "You're in luck, my buddy got called into work, so it was just me." he smiled at the soda comment, glad that Caleb did remember River didn't drink. "But you can join me," he smiled as he went over and added Caleb's name to the next game. "Lucky you, I got sidetracked texting Finn, so I didn't start the next round yet," he joked. @calebhuntington.

"awesome. i mean that stinks that your friend got called into work, but it gives me an opportunity to play. it would've been nice to play all together, but that's okay not a big deal." he said as he laughed a bit and looked at river as he then set his ball down in the spot before sitting down on the seat. "that's awfully kind of you, thank you very much. what kind of soda are we looking for?"

caleb always liked to help around so he decided to sign up for local hands on kismet harbor. he was helping clean this apartment and he was quite disgusted with how it looked right now. no wonder why it needed to be cleaned. he had gloves on himself and he looked over at the woman who was holding a naked barbie doll. "oh lord, i really hope so too. i don't want to even think about it if there isn't a kid living here. should we go looking for a child's room?"
