Sat down on the bed, grumbling quietly in annoyance, is Caleb; Glaring at her wings while trying to reach some certain spots on the end. Preening is never just.. a one person job, there are spots hard to reach after all.

She aggressively shakes her hands, trying to clean them up since some new feathers are growing in due to the weather changing. She hates how pin feathers will be stuck to this.. weird white powder like thing. Probably a protective shield or something, she never bothered searching about it.

She jokes lightly, amused at how he seems to always be there. She finds it interesting how he can just pop up, either way, she relaxes a little.

"Hrn, just these stupid wings– They always do this when it's changing season. Some help would be nice, thankfully I have my prince here, hm?"

"Hm? Oh, hi LT! And.. birdy? Really now?"

He giggles before stepping closer, his ears flapping a little. He was finally able to get out of the house again and he was full of energy and ready to go!

She ruffles some of her feathers, headwings flapping contently as her tail wags. It smiles at them and tilts its head a little, tail still wagging calmly.

Her tail wagged contently as she thought about seeing Vilicus again, practically darting to the treehouse and stopping upon seeing him, frowning slightly before looking for the stairs, climbing up the moment she finds them.

"Hey love, you're okay?"

She drapes one of her wings over him, frowning worriedly.

Caleb's head wings curl up a little, shifting to a more comfortable position as she sighs softly, tilting her and observing him.

Yep. Definitely not okay. And it worries her. It's not usual she sees him like this, she's too used to ‘loud and charmingly annoying’ Vilicus. But that's okay, she'll try to cheer him up.

"I'm taking that as a yes for the candy, I just don't really know if you want to go inside or not- We could stay here, the scenario is pretty after all."

She flicked her wrist and opened her panel, dropping a few packages of candy and immediately grabbing the sour patch kids and opening it; Staring inside it before grabbing a green one and offering the package to him while showcasing the green candy.

"I can get you something sweet if you prefer, I know sour candies aren't everyone's cup of tea."

She laughs at the eye roll, flicking his forehead in response, cuddling closer to him and still keeping her head under his chin while eating the candy, a pleased little hun leaving her while her tail wags.

She scratches behind his fin, smilling up at him before hugging him with oner arm and wrapping her tail around his waist, looking for any hard candies she has stored.

"You don't really gotta force yourself to talk, unless you actually wanna talk. Then talk to your hearts content."

She glared at her panel, hitting it so it gets back to working when she realizes it's taking too long to load; Damn outdated thing. But whatever, at least she found some jawbreakers, immediately offering them to him.

"Yeah, someone told me. We can take it slow, no rush, I want you to be comfortable."

_ He walked over to her, gently pulling her into his arms. He didn't like seeing her tense, but with the situation at hand, he understood why she was like that.

"Are you okay? Not hurt?"

She hugged him back, easing up a little but still keeping her wings shut tightly, only loosening up her tail. Her rattle begins to chime a bit, even though it's quiet, it still makes a stressful sound.

"Not at all, thankfully. And.. I don't know? I'm so damn confused and- maybe scared?"

_ He ran his fingers through her wings, his own wings closing behind him. His feathers puffed up slightly, though that was an instinctual reaction to his mate being in distress.

"We'll get through this, I promise. I'll stay here with you and help you feel better. Is there anything you're craving?"

Her feathers ruffle at the pets, being able to ease up even more, allowing her wings to stop pressing themselves tightly against her back; A quiet purr leaving her.

"Thank you, Caden. I love you so much- and.. not anything in particular. I just- need some affection I guess. I'm not really hungry."

_ He gently picked her up, lifting her and holding her firmly yet carefully. He took her to the kitchen with him before placing her down on the counter,

"You're not... forced to- um, keep the- the pregnancy, y'know? I know it's our baby techincally, I just..."

_ They trailed off as they began preparing tea. How could they even word it to avoid sounding like they didn't want the kid?

It was surprised to be picked up but soon decided to melt against the other, putting its head under their chin while sighing tiredly. It dangled its legs for a bit, mostly out of a nervous tick before eventually stopping.

"I know. I just.. don't know what to do exactly? I mean- We just- This.. Urgh... We just got together, it's been a few days or weeks at best. Not even months."

She puts her hands on her head, dragging them across her hair with a conflicted look on her face. Sure, she didn't mind having kids; The thing is.. she doesn't know if she'll be a good parent at all.

_ As they waited for the water to boil, they scratched the back of their neck and leaned on the counter with Caleb. They pulled it close, silently wishing they could take its stress.

"I'll have my dad help us if you want! He said he took a lot of caution when he created me- he read a lot of books on parenting and whatnot. It wouldn't hurt to do the same."

_ He never thought he'd have to read parenting books. Or have a baby either. It was all too unexpected, too fast, but he wanted to adjust to this for her sake.

Caleb sighed, this time longer and more exhausted, head wings dropping lowly as she leans against them. It's not worth it to waste her time thinking on her childhood.

"Damn magical baby..I hate this. And that could help, I'm staying away from.. him though. I don't like him nor do I trust him."

It was clear that she was speaking about Doom, especially with how she tightly gripped her arm, squeezing it while glaring at the ground. She still fears him, even if he doesn't really poses a threat to her anymore.
