Mother's shining slightly today, carrying a fine mist of raindrops in her wake. Headed up to the ridge. I think I saw a light glimmering in the distance, though it could be the fog clouding my eyesight. 

I took some time and reflected. I lost the ability to feel regret long ago, but I can't help but feel that things could have been prevented. It should've been me.

I'm going to head west at dawn.

My friend and I were discussing differences between strong characters and strong female characters--that is, the difference between a strong character who happens to be female and a character that can truly be classified as a strong female.

That....I could've worded that better, but hopefully it gets the point across.

Our resolution was that there are certain strong characters who happen to be female, but their story would work just as well if their pronouns were swapped with male ones. A strong female character, on the other hand, has a certain femininity about them that's integral to their character arc and who they are as a person.

I mean you probably understand what a strong female character is anyway though, so I probably didn't need to explain that.
