Aindri and Asavari are friends, storytellers and artists from India. Finding themselves in a fortuitous soup of geographical proximity and mutual love for sequential storytelling - decided to join forces for CALA. The following projects explore a myriad of themes including immigration, politics, cats.

A monthly interview series focusing on the creative journeys of fearless and fantastic female artists, featuring anecdotes, artistic inspiration and ramblings about favorite foods: HERE

A fun, playful and nostalgic exploration of some of the silly costumes many of us were made to wear as kids. A lighthearted look at traumatic costumes that potentially scarred many of us for life.

An illustration series exploring underlying - often distressing psychological states that most of us experience but no one openly talks about. Taking the idea of responses to the question ' how's it going ?' with a 'great' or 'I'm fine' , counter to what the actual feeling or mental state may be, and exploring what that would look like in illustration form.

Ruminations on living in the United States as a first generation immigrant from India, exploring the evolving narrative of personal identity in the context of political and cultural incongruity.

An odd lovechild of Cats Characters and Wordplay – the Cat puns zine intends to amuse the bored and inspire the silly. Both cat lovers and the feline-averse are invited to indulge.
