Ten hours with this lad, the beach, eating good food, watching the city go to sleep from a big hill, a whole lot of questions, car grooves and sleepy smiles.

April 18th. With pals.

I turned nineteen.

After a week of feeling like I was giving everything I had and getting nothing in return, this day happened. From the night before, until it-hasn't-ended, I was showered with love. Pure love. Kind words, people telling me they were grateful to have me, that I'm a 'slice of sunshine', that they miss and love me. I was so overwhelmed- and still am. Every person- from all over the world- that sent me a message or called me or shared an embarrassing photo or video of me made a massive impact on my day. Week. Year.

Life.

I finally understood what that man talked about at the Fringe. Some people turn to God when they're in times of need. He turned to God in times of pure bliss. He had so much happiness running through his blood that he didn't know what to do with it. He felt like he had to thank someone. And that someone was God.

2nd of April. With: Bella.

It started with me watching a video on youtube, and then Bells showing me a video on youtube, then me talking about a possible project, and her telling me how I should do it. I asked some questions and she answered them. So we sat like this- side by side- for a couple of hours. Brainstorming, feeding off each other, getting homework done, and getting crafty and inspired.

20th of March. With: Paula.

At one point in our lives, I swear, we looked identical. My eldest sister wouldn't be able to tell us apart. Now we probably couldn't look more different unless one of us dyed our hair red. Regardless, we still call each other twins. Paula is my third sister. I love her. I do, I do.

Uni livin'.

20th and 21st of March. With: Tess.

On Thursday evening we snuck away with only our families knowing where we were off to. We drove to a caravan park, pitched our tent in the dark, ate delicious camp food (everything tastes better when you're on a budget- even processed cheese..), laughed at life, and fells asleep in the wee hours of the morning.

On Friday we woke up with our tent flying away so we packed up quickly and continued our sleep in Tess' car. Locked the keys in the car, ate toast, fixed the keys issue, pulled on our hiking boots and drove to the mountains.

Sometimes, all you need to do is speak to the mountains. Listen to the earth. Spend time with someone who you connect with spiritually, and just be. Life gets pretty crazy sometimes. You gotta stop and listen.

A day in March. With: Liana, Kristen and Mallory.

A roadtrip, far away beach, lots of smiles, very very good looking men making us laugh, running away from creepy men, low budget photoshoots and enjoying the last dregs of the sunshine.

Today it hit me.

I'm not on a gap year any more. I can't spend my weeks rolling around the world, seeing friends whenever they're free, can't ride my bike to my sister's with ten minutes notice, I can't stay up until 4am because I don't have anything to do tomorrow..

There's expectations, grades, teachers, classmates, lectures, books, homework, long nights, early mornings. Crap.

26th of February. Welcoming: Mallory and Liana.

Today involved: stationary, a very nice bakery, an early lunch/late brunch, loud laughs, last minute decisions, lots of driving, a chocolate factory, an apple stall, strawberry picking, strawberry eating, sitting in strawberry fields, good music and good company.

4-10th of February. Welcoming: Tess.

From Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston, Cradle Mountain and a few more places in between, this girl was my travel companion for almost a week. This girl has also become my best friend. This girl is also climbing up Mt Everest this week. This girl has changed my outlook on life, my thought process and my world. This girl is the definition of world peace.

Is that a photo of Tess running through a pop-up veggie patch? On top of the world? About to catch a plane? Next to a big fuck-off lake? Looking completely content? Wearing hiking boots? With a massive dreadlock in her hair that she is still yet to brush out? Yes to all.
