Her eyes were closed, the blonde enjoying the comfortable position she was in, with the wind blowing through her hair and her little head rested upon the shoulder of a little shit - one that was actually a pleasant little shit. The entire situation felt natural to her. Courtney had always been a pretty touchy-feely person, excitedly hugging people whenever she meets them no matter how close, or just leaning against someone when she’s tired or stressed or vexed or whatever.

"Hmm?" she asked a little sleepily, still keeping her eyes shut. Courtney wrinkled her nose, lifting her head from Caitlin’s shoulder. "Of course not. I thought I had to have your consent for that to happen. We’re just two friends hanging out, right? Sorta, friend-ish. Friends and something. Dunno." Removing her arms from behind her as a support, Courtney lowered herself onto the roof and laid down. "You’re pretty cute." She giggled, shaking her head a little. How the Hell did Caitlin get to that thought that they were dating? Just like that.

Caitlin

Well, Caitlin was not a touchy feely person. She could be, but she repelled friends and generally people too much to exhibit such behavior. Touch was really rather nice, but she did not know what to do, as confident as she superior as she thought her self in this world. And she rather could not deny that she liked being close to somebody, even if it was just physically. Wet was probably the best friend that she had in the world, so it was nice to share space.

Somehow the Friendship Tackle had led to another thing, which led to another, then another and … This. Wet was rolling a flopping Lord Cutiepie up and down the tiles that constituted the roof, in patterns that are seemingly random - in a square, in a circle around the two, in a … triangle thing. Courtney wrinkled her nose and tried to ignore the two silly Pokémon, looking over to Caitlin. “I’m not unskilled in Hide and Seek. You’re just way too good at it. And the area was far too big!” There was a bit of indignance in her tone. She was going to Headbutt Caitlin but decided against it. The serious girl wouldn’t take it very well, she thought.

She sat back like Caitlin, letting her hands brace against the roof and preventing herself from falling flat backwards - that would have been embarrassing - and looked out over the city as well. “I don’t know. I thought you had a plan in mind.” Silently, Courtney lowered her head sideways and allowed it to rest on Caitlin’s shoulder. “This is nice.”

Wow, Wet was a weird little critter. Silently, and rather amused, Caitlin watched the rolling process. She figured there was nothing particularly methodical about this besides mood, and did not notice any sort of pattern occurring. "Mm, right," she hummed, doubting Courtney's assertion somewhat. Perhaps the problem was that she had been too obvious, and then that had caused other things to go funkily... Oh, she did not know.

"No it’s not, it’s only like three! Breakfast is at eleven, lunch is at three." Courtney huffed and crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at the girl who had attempted to dupe her. That was ridiculous. You had breakfast the moment you woke up, right? That was like … Ten thirty. So eleven’s a good time for breakfast, naturally! And you have to have four hours in between meals so lunch would be at three! This was ridiculous. What was Caitlin Gerson pulling this time? Lord Cutiepie stared at Wet with his beady eyes, before flopping off Caitlin’s lap and giving Wet a customary Friendship Tackle. Now they could be friends.

"Aww," pouted Courtney when she had already cheekily puckered up to ‘communicate with her mouth’. Letting the two Water-Pokémon play at their sides, Courtney crossed her legs over the rooftop tiles and propped her face up with both hands, looking at Caitlin. "So whaddya wanna do? No more hide and seek. I’m so done with that stupid game."

"Breakfast is not something that I time to the moment." It really was not. Scheduling did not work out so well on the road, and with an unpredictably weird team of pokemon like hers. Caitlin raised an eyebrow, and watched the pokemon play. Apparently Tackles were kind in her Mudkip's eyes, so they were perfectly content there. Wet had such weird thoughts sometimes, even if Caitlin had no idea what these thoughts contained. If there were any global domination plots in there, it was in her best interest to get to the bottom of this pokemon language thing.

”Mua,” Courtney said and made sure she got every bit that she worked for, despite Caitlin’s flailing arms before she broke away from the girl’s lips. Wrinkling her nose, Courtney shied away from Caitlin’s hand as she was successfully fended off by the previously napping girl. She sat back on her knees and took out her hand mirror, making sure that her hair was in place - Caitlin’s hands had knocked a few locks astray and that couldn’t do. When she was done, she put the mirror back in her pocket and both hands at her hips, huffing.

"It’s lunchtime! I had to go through like four different cabbies before I could find one that would drive to Sprout Tower, wait as I go up there and look at all the roofs for you, then drive me to where you were!" cried Courtney indignantly, taking out a Pokeball and releasing Lord Cutiepie, who promptly started flailing in Caitlin’s face and slapping her with his tail.

Caitlin shut her eyes at the sudden intrusion of a fish pokemon on her face. How in the world did water pokemon stay so moist on land? Not cool. Blubbering, a little, she swatted at the Magikarp. Before she could manage to get the convulsing fish off, she started to say, "No, it is... not lunchtime." After a lucky bat, she got the fish to land on her lap, much to Wet's amusement. "It's like afternoon. Lunchtime already passed. You took way too long. Don't pin this on me. You lose." Wet, ever the curious little lady, made her way onto Caitlin's lap, and tried to befriend the floppy Lord Cutiepie. Clearly, Wet did not get to make friends with many other water pokemon. This was an opportunity that the Mudkip could not turn down.

How the Hell was she going to find Caitlin like this … ? Courtney asked herself in wonder of her own stupidity as realized that there was no way for her to look at the top of the roofs. Especially for the buildings that were taller than a single storey. The blonde girl huffed, a lock of hair flying out from over her eyes which lit up the moment she spotted the Sprout Tower in the distance.

The petite blonde tiptoed onto the rooftop that she had spotted a particular Hobbit lying on, from the top of the Tower, noticing that Caitlin had dozen off in the warm afternoon sun. Courtney knelt down at Caitlin’s head and leaned forward, pressing her lips to the other girl’s in a Spiderman kiss. “Rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty,” teased Courtney, upon feeling Caitlin rouse beneath her.

...Okay, so maybe she had been on the roof for longer than she thought. Wet snored softly at her feet, and the sound served to lure her into a false sense of security. Perhaps she should have found a less ridiculous roof to hide on, as this took much too long. When she was a kid, she did not get to play much hide and seek, but she always imagined how it would be. This was not quite hie and seek. It was actually more fun! Well, it would have been fun if she did not need to be so patient. She wound up getting all of the recordings she could ever want from overhead Spearows long ago, and she had ended up turning off the mic after a while..
