I discovered the BEST rug shop on eBay! It’s called Rug Emporium and most of the rugs have bids starting at 99¢ with free shipping! We’ve purchased rugs for the kitchen and hallway and I’ve just won this crocodile rug as well. They’ve got so many options (over 1500) and would 10/10 recommend!

Last night I watched a documentary about the booksellers and the art of collecting. As you can imagine, there was a lot of footage of old, white, rich men, combing through bookshelves but I thought the documentary did a good job explaining how this is changing and why that’s important. I liked it because it was jazzy and New York-y and it made me nostalgic for pre-instagram times. It also features Fran Lebowitz, who is one of my favorite social commentators of all time. 

Because we aren’t really allowed to travel, I’ve taken to reading articles and books that have a strong sense of place. I read an article this morning that took me to the Outer Hebrides in Scotland where I could feel the brisk wind coming off the sea all while snug as a bug on the couch drinking coffee.
