“Thanks,” she accepted happily, grateful not to have to wander around town, looking for a Luke’s Diner that didn’t exist...the town reminded her so much of Stars Hollow that, if left to her own devices, she was almost certain to forget that it wasn’t her hometown. Also, she was craving Luke’s coffee.                                                                                                                                                    (Dirty.) “I’m here on business, actually. A guy who runs an inn one town over asked if I’d be interested in meeting with him because he's thinking of selling, and I’m not really looking to expand my business, but my father always said expanding your network never hurts, and--you don’t care about any of this, I’m sorry. I tend to babble.”

“Great, thanks.” Lorelai had no idea that her comment could have meant more than it truly did. She was oblivious to the existence of any magic that didn’t involve Criss Angel. As far as she knew, Storybrooke was an ordinary town, no different than her own beloved Stars Hollow. “Well, for starters, I’ll keep babbling incoherently at you,” she joked. “Sorry, I’m usually slightly more composed than this. I’m Lorelai Gilmore,” she said, extending her hand. 

“Excuse me, I’m sorry, I probably sound like a crazy person right now, but only because I’m completely deprived of coffee, and I was hoping you could direct me to the nearest place where I can find it, because if I don’t get some in me soon, we might have a real situation on our hands, here.” 

“Silly me - here I was, thinking that you’d actually learned how to speak to your mother occasionally, or at least text her on one of the seven phones you own, but it’s okay! You can just show up on my doorstep completely unannounced, it’s not like I have a job, or a boyfriend, or a life of my own...” Lorelai couldn’t keep up the facade any longer, and a smile gave her away. “It’s good to see you, kid.”
