In all the times I’ve seen them, I don’t believe I’ve ever taken pictures with The Aquabats before. I don’t consider myself all that photogenic, and no, that’s not cheap fishing for compliments: unless I have a giant foam rubber chicken mask on my head, I always look awkward on camera, but I’m quite satisfied with how these turned out. The man in the red shirt next to Crash is none other than Ben the Brain! I had no idea he was there that night and didn’t even recognize him until Crash introduced him. Heck, I didn’t even know it was him until after I took the picture! Ben was holding that Vans box for Crash to sign stuff on and jokingly referred to himself as “The Table”; I couldn’t resist taking a picture with Crash and his Table (along with my friend moniquetheunique) and, after finding out who he was, finally getting a long-needed name on my belt.

So last night I had a mission from nintendonut1 - get The Aquabats to draw in my sketchbook. So I did! MCBC kept grabbing the sketchbook back after handing it to me to add more (he wanted to make sure we knew he was talking about high school and not something else).

Ricky was v focused the entire time and hid it for a bit before revealing it- ‘It’s me playing drums on an island!!’

Jimmy was like ‘a are you sure’ then doodled ‘it’s a bird like saxophone that appear to be playing music from its behind’ a pause ‘…this is why I write music instead of drawing’

Bones was super focused and sketching the entire time, after thinking about it for a looooong time. He was like ‘oh man what do I draw??? What should I do??’ Then did a guitar. He was all like ‘it’s too big..’ After but we were like no man it’s great!!

We got rushed out so I got a quick draw from Crash and we joked a little back and forth ‘hey I was wondering if you could draw in my sketchbook like the other guys did!’ ‘Oh so you’re saying I gotta draw better than them?’ ‘That’s right man, I’m putting the art pressure on’ ‘well I’m gonna do it’ and then he did! What a guy!
