What if, after quizzing SQH for PIDW background information, the peak lords get the brilliant idea of defending themselves from post-Abyss Binghe by freeing TLJ! What better defense against a vengeful half-Heavenly Demon than a full one?

Of course the last thing they want is two vengeful Heavenly Demons running around, so first they need to prove to TLJ that the OPM lied to the sects and SXY did not in fact betray him.

I’m imagining ‘Ocean's Eleven’/‘Mission: Impossible’ style shenanigans as the peak lords try to collect the required evidence, plus whatever they need to break out TLJ.

During the “negotiations” (rather awkward ones, since TLJ probably doesn’t look too good) they get him to swear not to destroy CQM and not to harm the common people, and in exchange CQM will free him and offer some reasonable “reparations” for the part YQY and their predecessors played.

Mr. “I’d rather wander around the human realm reading trashy books and watching plays then rule the demon realm” is perfectly happy to accept a nice ‘retirement’ pavilion on CQM, with a fully stocked library, a regular book stipend, and a “season pass” to the nearest mortal theater.

(Maybe they even use the IAC mirror “screens” to make him a nice “home theater”, for all the non local plays. Peak lord movie nights with the protagonist’s dad!)

When LBH breaks out of the abyss two years early, he discovers that Huan Hua palace is a disaster zone, then moves on to CQM, and his dad is there for some reason??? What on earth did he do to trigger this series of events?

I’m imagining TLJ spending all his time of CQM lounging around, sipping Zui Xian wine and reading a yellow books, while ZZL hovers around awkwardly and Gongyi Xiao fans him with a gigantic fan (GYX got kidnapped at some point mid investigation or after OPM’s murder. It’s fine). 🤭

He probably thinks the transmigrated peak lords are an absolute riot!

HOW IS MY FATHER CHUMMY WITH THE CQM PEAK LORDS???

It starts with SQH feeling sick. Turns out that ignoring his omega side has consequences.

He hasn’t had a nest nor heat partner for years. Actually, he can’t even remember the last time he was scented by someone. SQH believes it’s not a big deal. I mean, as long as it doesn’t affect his work, right? Yeah sometimes he gets a little depressed and he cries himself to sleep because he is so fucking lonely but it’s cool! He can deal with it!!!

But, um, you can get sick? Like, very, very sick. Like high fever, pain, strong headaches and total loss of control of his omega side. Because that can happen, it seems. And let’s not start with his scent atrophy, his scent glands are so swollen they hurt like a bitch and the smell! Oh, everyone reeks!

MQF is, of course, is rightfully pissed at him. The angriest he has ever seen him. It’s… terrifying.

But it’s not his fault! Not really. Everyone knows the peak lords of cang Qiong are supposed to be a strong pack, but in reality? They barely function as one. So he has no one to nest or scent with. I mean he could go down the mountain to find someone but he has a reputation to keep and he doesn’t have a thick skin like Shen Jiu to even try.

So yeah. Sickness. And lack of pack. His omega side is slowly going feral and his own body is failing. MQF tells him the that in order to help heal he has to indulge his omega side, but he is in a delicate state and need to treat this carefully. His omega mind is very vulnerable so he needs to chose a nest mate wisely since any type of rejection could harm him deeply and he won’t even be in shape to defend himself (a scary thought).

SQH chooses Shen Qinqiu, (his scent is so refreshing and good! ) since he wrote the story he knows that even though he has a very sharp tongue and a nasty attitude, he would never take advantage of him like that. MQF is shocked but he knows better than to comment.

MQF goes to Qing Jing peak and tells SQQ everything. At first the man is confused. This doesn’t concern him, why is MQF bothering with it? But then the beta reveals that SQH chose him as his nest mate.

He freezes. Why? They are nothing to each other. SQQ openly despises him and calls him coward. Why would he choose a man like him, an alpha, with a tainted reputation to help him through this? He must be aware of the dangers, the risks. The possibility of entering into heat and with only SQQ to help. Why would he allow himself to be put in such a pathetic, vulnerable position near him? None of his martial brothers trust him.

It doesn’t make sense.

He accepts the mission and find out what the hell that shidi of his is planning with this!

And Shen Qingqiu agrees, after all what use would it be to remain on his mountain, when Binghe will never return to him again? When these mountains will never again hear his laughter echo through them or be lightened by his smile. Luo Binghe died in the abyss and it is his fault. If his body can be used for peace he'll offer it willingly.

His sect siblings watch him go, expecting to hear of his death in only a few months. Shen Qingqiu's heart has been weakened by deep grief for too long, they do not expect him to survive the dangers of the demon realm. To want to survive them. (They had tried to negotiate, to reason with and then beg for the Emperor to choose something different but he refused to reconsider. So away Shen Qingqiu goes.)

When he gets there his husband does not greet him. There is no ceremony, no big reception, no official wedding, nothing. He is simply led to his rooms, guided by the maids of the palace.

The hallways are decorated in extravagant statues, paintings, finely crafted lamps. Shen Qingqiu finds it sickening to look at. How would Luo Binghe have decorated these halls, had he not failed him, had he been able to rise to his full power, to have survived?

He doesn't leave his room, ignoring the soft knocks at his door, the food that is delivered to him by his servants. He stares out at his private garten and refuses to eat. There's nothing to it. No sense.

The garden is flourished with the prettiest of flowers and fauna. Perfect bamboo stalks sprout from the ground, beautifully framing the little pond in the middle. Waterlilies coat the surface. He stares long at the still surface of the quiet water.

The Emperor visits him on what he thinks might be the third day, dressed in dark iridescent robes that flow behind him, giving him an ethereal look. Shen Qingqiu looks at him for a few seconds before his eyes fall back to the pond. He doesn't know what is expected of him and decides to wait him out.

"Does my husband not have anything to say to this Lord?" The man asks after a moment.

"This master was not aware that this arrangement included providing his husband entertainment." He replies in a dry sarcastic tone and does not care about how it might get him into trouble. What use, what use. Luo Binghe is dead. There is no more.

Suddenly he hates the Lord in front him, just a little. For taking him away from home, from the only place Luo Binghe will know where to find him — should he ever return. For having to leave Zheng Yang behind, the last piece of Binghe's soul he could still watch over.

The Lord, his husband now, is silent for a moment before he quietly asks, "What makes my husband unhappy? Tell this Lord, so he may fix it."

Shen Qingqiu is suddenly exhausted. "There is nothing wrong. My chambers are fine, thank you. This husband wishes to be alone."

He doesn't know how much time passes but some while after that his husband softly closes the door on his way out. A bamboo leave slowly falls to the ground. Shen Qingqiu watches and watches. Luo Binghe is dead. Someday that will make sense.

His husband continues to visit him day after day. Each time he brings more beautiful, more elaborate and more expensive gifts. Shen Qingqiu thanks him and sets them down on nearby tables and shelves, not once looking back at them.

(Luo Binghe despairs, what is he doing wrong?! What is wrong with Shizun, why won't he move or smile?! What happened!!)

But over the months Shen Qingqiu opens up more and more, and one day he tells his husband about the disciple he once had, who had lived with him, cooked for him and washed his clothes, whom he loved and cherished, and then killed. Unexpectedly his husband bursts out into tears.

"What's wrong? My Husband, what is wrong?!" He gently takes his husband's face into his hands, swiping at the flood of tears.

"Shen Qingqiu," he sobs, "what would you do, to have him back?"

"Anything," Shen Qingqiu answers immediately, "there's nothing I would not sacrifice, to hold my Binghe once more."

His husband cries and cries and Shen Qingqiu watches in confusion, as slowly his appearance starts to slip. Soft curls replace the shiny hair from before, his dark eyes lighten to a vibrant red and Shen Qingqiu stares as his husband turns into his former disciple.

I’m in the middle of re-reading “pride is not the word I’m looking for” by @tossawary and MAN. something about this line in chapter 27 just HAUNTED me. Had to draw it to get the demons out lmao

Also yes, I did just read EVERY SINGLE POST YOU HAVE ABOUT THIS AU sorry for the spam of likes I had to mark my way so I didn’t get lost and so I knew which ones I’ve already seen.

(I love this AU so much the only thing that would make it funnier would be if the peak lords were the only ones to be transmigrated actually bcs wdym everyone just overlooks their mistakes because they can’t tell that they’re mistakes cause they don’t know enough about ancient china same as the peak lords…)

I think he also enjoys pranks too and he sometimes pulls some of them on his fellow transmigrators such as the classic water bucket on top of the door prank tho it doesn't usually work cause they have incredible reflexes (unless they are extremely tired)

the reason why he became the Wan Jian peak lord could be a side hobby he had such as forging, or a small jewelry making business he did way back then, honestly im still working on it wahah but I do like a few ideas that have been proposed to me

ALSO for the peak lords being the only transmigrators, I had it set as "every named character in the og PIDW book" would be one but any wives or nps that show up would esentially be ocs and I don't really wanna create that many lol, so I'm thinking of changing it

A grave mistake.

Not only has he had to endure Shang Qinghua's scolding for the damage to the compound. But now he also has double the paperwork due to the dozens of letters from alphas asking for permission to court him (2/3 of the alphas are demons).

Now Shen Yuan has decided not to leave his side so that his shidi won't get into any more trouble.

Liu Qingge reluctantly agreed because deep down he likes it when Shen Yuan holds his arm while talking about beasts (the omega doesn't notice the alpha's scent on him and the satisfied grunts).

We have been busy with production over the past few weeks and are finally at a point where we are able to share a proper update with everyone:

✨ Current production status (May): • All samples except the NSFW booklet, Washitape + Standee have been ordered • Revised samples have been ordered for the magnet scroll + acrylic keychain after the first sample versions didn’t meet our quality standards • Print + sticker samples have arrived and final material choices are being made • We have received the digital proofs for our enamel pins from the manufacturer

Due to the large number of orders we received, production is moving a bit slower than initially expected as we adjust our production and shipping setup accordingly. Thank you all for your patience!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been waiting for samples to arrive bit by bit and are finally able to share more updates with everyone (including some images of our samples/items)!

We have received the main zine samples and are reviewing for final changes before placing the full order.

We have placed our full order for all of our prints, and have received a portion of our order and will be expecting the other portion soon.

We have placed our full order for all of our stickers, as well as the sticker sheet, and have received a portion of our order and will be expecting the other portion soon.

We received the NSFW add-on booklet sample. As we weren't satisfied with the quality, we have decided to go with a different manufacturer and are in the process of requesting a new sample.

We have received the samples for the shaker charm (i’ve included pictures of both the front and the back!), magnet, and fan, and will be placing the full order for these items soon.

The first half of our fan, scroll magnet, and shaker charm orders have been completed and are currently being prepared for shipment from the manufacturer to our shipping mod.

We have received and confirmed our new NSFW add-on booklet sample, and have placed our full order.

We have requested new samples for the Standee and Acrylic Keychain and expect to be able to confirm the quality of both samples within the next two weeks.

We have finished updating the specifications for the main zine and have communicated the final changes to our manufacturer. We are currently waiting for their reply, and production should begin very soon!
