After a continuous struggle for months (years) I have lost faith that things in my country would change soon. Everything that has done in recent months seems in vain, I do not want to delve much into the matter but a quick summary, for those who have no idea, is: I live in Venezuela, where the government does not respect human rights, people die in protests every day, ‘everything is fine’ and now they are closing the radio stations. Television belongs to the government, and I am 100% sure that soon they will start to regulate things like the Internet (they already do it with water and light, there is only water twice a week and light as it comes and goes without control) . I work on Internet given my history of depression and little tolerance of public places, I literally help my family because my mother’s income (which is the only one who works) is too low. My father is a psychiatric patient and ten years ago he was disabled to work, my grandmother is 83 years old and suffers from Alzheimer’s, my sister is a minor and still can not work. I have spent days without sleep, stressed, hoping that the madness in my country will pass, but at this point I know it will not be so. I made the decision that we can no longer SURVIVE in this country. What happens when I can not work anymore? What will happen when my source of income leaves? Four months ago the only thing we ate was corn, cassava and banana soups and we used to sell water (in my house there is waterhole and we sell because, as I said, there is never any water) but it never reached. I really can not live in this country any more, I can not live stressed, hoping that tomorrow the prices of the few foods in the markets will increase disproportionately. What I’m going is: I know it’s none of your business, and many of you will really miss this on their dash, but I need help to raise money to leave the country with my sister. I can not go with my parents, it’s ridiculous. But if we are not going to look for a better future and then remove my family in a future from the misery that is lived in Venezuela, then we will end up under the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro forever. I’m not asking for money just because, but if you can donate whatever is a dollar or two, I’ll be more than grateful.
