TMI TUESDAY

Gyro couldn’t help but chuckle affectionately at Scorpio’s face as he looked at the menu. “I’m not a fan of candy or anything super sweet,” he commented as he chose his order, “good to know you can process human food, it’s not super popular among robots after all!” He was about to ask about Scorpio’s functions when it came to processing food, but perhaps that was a subject not suitable for dining. “Ermm,” the copter bot said sheepishly, “I’m afraid I’m not created to function for hunting, but I wouldn’t mind going with you –sure!”

“Popular?” He looked confused when Gyro mentioned that. Was that part of the whole disliking aliens or just organics in general? “As fer huntin’ it’s aight if yeh ain’t built fer it. I can hunt up some food fer us both!” Oh, he was already getting a nice idea. Him and Gyro camping under the stars, a warm fire and some small game cooking. Sharing a tent or bedroll for warmth...~

The shop was one of those hole-in-a-wall places in which one missed it if they weren’t looking for it. It advertised sandwiches, kebabs and gyros in a big sign out front which was exactly what Gyro was looking for. “Here looks like a good place, let’s go in!” He said as he pushed open the door and waving at the humans at the counter. “So I take it this isn’t the first time you’ve eaten human food?” He asked to Scorpio hoping he’d let go of his hand so he could order the food.

Scorpio drooled some at seeing the large pictures of food. Those meat sticks, those looked amazing! The rest looked really good as well, and the smell had him licking his lips before they were even inside. “Wha huh? Human food? Yeah.” He wipes the drool away and tries to control himself. He could be heard sniffling at the air though.

TMI TUESDAY

“Ah great,” Gyro said taking the money, along with Scorpio’s hand. He blinked and accepted the hand holding as some sort of a friendly affection. The copter bot hoped his cheeks weren’t turning red, after all no one ever had held his hand like that. “I promise it isn’t too much of a walk from here,“ Gyro said as he walked, somewhat startled that Scorpio still held onto him. It seemed like he wasn’t going to let go any soon, Gyro hoped no one they bumped into would think they were a couple.

Gyro’s face lit up as he was about to educate Scorpio about the joys of a gyros sandwich. “Gyros? They’re some sort of a human food from Greece, it’s my favorite human food!” He said trying to explain it without getting too giddy, “It’s like a giant sandwich–a really awesome sandwich in which there’s meat, and vegetables on pita bread. It’s really delicious and it doesn’t cost much, I’m sure you’ll really like it!”

Gyro’s reaction wasn’t missed, but Scorpio had gotten so used to it. It hardly fazed him anymore, the rudeness towards aliens was more likely to rile him up. He grins and hands Gyro the money for safe keeping. “Lead the way then! Ah’ll trust you t’pay for the food, since I haven’t worked on th’whole exchange thing much.”

TMI TUESDAY

“You’ll have to tell me what being half organic is like,” Gyro said somewhat fascinated with Scorpio. As a full metal mechanical wonder of robotics, it was hard to think of what being organic was like. He shook his head at the mention of Moki, “Oh I faced worse injuries than cat claws it’s no biggie.” 

The bug’s face went blank as he tried to figure out what it was Gyro just said. He wasn’t even sure how to spell it, and it came up with nothing useful in his quick search. “Uh, whassa yoo-row?” He asks in some embarrassment. “As fer money, Tengu an’ ah raided a few good places an’ I have some cash. Not much, but we thought it’d come in handy in case we ever did outings. Or wanted to spoil Virgo.”

“Uhh yeah,” Gyro said remembering the prom with a little embarrassment. His cheeks warmed up and he squirmed from the memory. He had been quite distrustful of Scorpio and had deliberately used Charge to avoid him. Thankfully the bug-bot was quite forgiving and Gyro was glad he had finally given him a chance. “Yeah it’s great seeing you again, we rarely do meet up.”

“Half,” he corrected. “Ah’m half organic half robot. Lil’ more robot than other Skorpios just because some surgeries happened t’fix a few things while workin’ under Apollo.” He kept on smiling to make it clear he wasn’t insulted or anything. “Maybe when Moki’s worked out his fits ah can bring him fer a visit! Wouldn’t want him clawin’ yeh.”

The way the tail wagged affectionately like that made Gyro think it was similar to an excited puppy. He couldn’t help but share the same excitement since it was a while since he found anyone that seemed actually happy to see him. Gyro greeted Scorpio cheerfully and laughed as they hugged. “Yup, I’m finally glue-free, and just the right timing!” he said proudly letting the bug-bot take his hands. “I’m glad for the opportunity, I know it sounds crazy for a robot, but I get a little stir-crazy too on that tiny ol’ island.”

Scorpio remembered living on that island all too well. It was smelly and confined, the sun had been nice at least. “Naw, I get whatchu mean. There ain’t much room on an island no matter how big. Eventually you know th’whole area right? Specially if yeh gotta share it with a ton of others.“ The citadel was nicer on the other hand, but lacked in the numbers robot island had. And the heat. Mountains weren’t very warm at times.

He was in his room admiring his toy models, and gasped slightly when he received the coordinates. Gyro had not anticipated a message so soon, but it came as a pleasant surprise to him. Not wanting to keep Scorpio waiting, he rushed up to put on some proper clothes since no Wily-bot would walk around in the city in their armor. It was sunny outside so Gyro put on a green shirt, short white jacket and beige pants as his city-attire. He quickly brushed over his messy hair with his hand then rushed to the teleporters. 

The bug smiles and his tails starts wagging. Oh it was so good to see friends again! “Hey!” He stands and makes his way to Gyro, hugging him soon as he was close enough. “Glad yeh made it! And glad t’see yer hands aren’t stuck anymore.” Scorpio snickers as he lets go and takes Gyro’s glue-free hands in his own. “Also glad yeh accepted this lil’ outing. Was losing m’mind after months in th’citadel. There’s only so much forest yeh can explore y’know?” He rambled a bit, that tail still wagging away.
