IâM NOT NORMAL â NOT ANYMORE.
INDIE - MULTIVERSE - SEMI CANON-DIVERGENT ABIGAIL HOBBS of NBCâSÂ HANNIBAL.
would it be really extra to post a new promo for this blog even though i made it 5 seconds agoÂ
A place was made for you, Abigail. In this world, this is the only place I could make for you.
behaviorismsâ:
You donât trust me. It stings because itâs true, and because he wishes it wasnâtâitâs not personal, he wants to say, I donât trust anyone, but even in his own voice, in his own head, it sounds cagey and paranoid. Like something that the man Freddie Lounds has likely painted him to be would say.Â
âI donât trust her,â he says finally. Dr. Lecter wanted to be involvedâwanted them both to be involved, but Willâs not sure he can sit through another meal with Freddie Lounds grinning smugly across the table at him from underneath one of those ridiculous hats. âAnd not just because of what sheâs said about me, thatâsââ simultaneously uncomfortably close to the truth and insultingly far from it. âThatâs, uh, inconsequential. I just want to make sure that itâs your truth and not hers she puts out there.â
He feels paternalistic even saying it, like heâs being overprotective and knows he has no right to say or even think these things. He feels Hobbsâ milky eyes boring into the back of his skull. Not all the way out.Â
âLook, IâI know Iâm probably the last person you want to talk to about things. But if you ever need anythingââ
SHE CANâT HELP the scoff of a breath that exhales through her nose, short and curt, TRUST, her chest jolts just the smallest bit with the thought of it; how recklessly it didnât matter when it came down to it, past her offense. it all figures; and she canât entirely blame him for being suspicious, but she can feel herself bordering on it. she wants to blame everyone, for everything  â even herself, she canât stop his rightful concern from feeling like a brick wall in front of her face, stopping her from going forward. âSOMETIMES you have to take uncertain routes to get where you wanna go,â she canât tell if she really believes that, but it comes out blazing and white hot, and it sounded convincing enough then. her posture sits self-proud and with a certain stubbornness. she wont be swayed, but she finds herself listening to him regardless.Â
she half wonders if her lack of reasoning against freddieâs vague malice proves her weakness, the uncertainty making a home at the back of her head. perhaps it was the unwavering cool freddie used to smooth out the wrinkles of her reputation, making every instance against her feeling incredibly subjective, personable. one thing she is sure about is her own fragile narrative, and the desperation inside her willing to go to any length to straighten things out for herself. her voice is breakable and thin now, face twitching with a threatening, sorrowful anxiety, âwhat i do now, whether it be through freddieâs delivery or not, will DEFINE the rest of my life.â sheâs starting to sound like the ghost of freddie lounds, â..i canât be afraid anymore. freddie understands that more than anyone.â

IâM SORRY IâVE BEEN GONE iâm starting an algebra help class soon & i wanna focus on it solely for the first day or two! then iâll be back & funky fresh heh hehÂ
Hannibal Lecter is immensely pleased with his choice of fake daughter
I feel attacked
raudrakosâ:
â Lithuanian Hounds are massive dogs.  Iâm certain Julian could have put his paws on your shoulders. Each of them weighed somewhere between 60 and 70 pounds ⌠â He adds, thoughtful: itâs an understandable misconception that he himself isnât FOND of animals. He likes them, they just arenât conducive to his lifestyle.Â
It wasnât something he did presently.  Hunting, at least WILD GAME, died out with his family â it wasnât a personal interest so much as something to BOND over. Though he was good at it. It was everything after that he took a profound interest in â preparing the meat.  Cooking with his mother.  Hannibal gives a thoughtful cluck of his tongue at the question.Â
â â reverent, I think. In awe. A QUIET SENSE OF POWER. Life itself is so PRECIOUS. And it deserves to be properly revered and appreciated. Especially when youâre taking it away. â And then, a bit IMPULSIVELY, he continues:  â My sister was too young to learn.  But she didnât have a taste for it ⌠she hated that I went with our Father to hunt, and I doubt she ever would have willingly picked up a gun. â Â
He is ⌠surprised to have mentioned it â perhaps compelled to assure her that her particular feelings in regard to it are not UNEXPECTED. Still, the unexpected confession surprises him. He covers it easily, with a polite and contained smile. Â
ABIGAIL CAN nearly feel the paws as he speaks, the weight of them. one day, sheâd like to own a dog or two â she canât help but smile subtly at the thought; it feels nice, âi could imagine the food portions for those guys,â she implies, something playful in her tone. â..i had a neighbor with one of those huge husky dogs. i think they ended up sending him to another home because they couldnât take care of him, but sometimes heâd run off and me and my dad would see him out in the woods, rolling in the leaves.â in fleeting moments, she could mention her father as if nothing dreadful was attached to him like dead, hanging vines. the realization settles in slow and painful after the fact, every time. it mostly shows in her face, a particular devastated slack. she clears her throat in an attempt to move on from it, puffs up her chest along with the slight uplift and fixing of her posture.Â
she visibly swallows in suit of his words, a quiet sense of power. if it were power, she didnât want it; didnât want to want it. she does nod, though, a silent understanding and a hint of the sort of respect youâd put on for your parentâs friends or a teacher when theyâre telling you a story. brows raise at the hint of something personal, and immediately she turns her attention to it. it dawned on her then that dr. lecter hadnât exactly tried to place himself in abigailâs shoes with a sense of any commonality or experience as the other doctors and professionals had. a thing that in each instance, she assumed was a tactic to bring her and them onto a level playing field, in the midst of a search for information.Â
nevertheless, she was interested, âyou have a sister?â asked with an innocent, conversational curiosity, eyes wide in questioning with a slight tilt of her head.

SHE STUDIES HIS FACE AND WONDERS if he will think thatâs enough for her, if sheâs not curious or brave enough to push any further. she looks at him with an unreadable stare, almost a mirror of his own; like sheâs untangling something internally. after a small while, she speaks, looks away with it, â..i didnât wanna talk about it too, at first.â an intake of breath, slow and careful yet it still shakes like a fallen leaf, âsometimes i still donât.â her head tilts gently, and she squints; thereâs another thought on the brink now, sheâs hoping her honesty will lift some weight off of his dismissal of the subject.Â
maybe she could turn this around, â.. my dad would, uhm.. make sure we.. used.. every part of the animal,â she explained, not yet having the courage to look him in the eye while she speaks of the memory, âotherwise it was unjust. he wanted to eat them â and then make them into ART.â art, generally, was beautiful, but the look on abigailâs face, the way her voice maneuvered around the word, the way it sat in her brain, lingered around everything she did, was not. she remembers wanting it to be beautiful, wanted to match her fatherâs enthusiasm so bad; that desperation in him, she always sensed it and tried to feed off it. she was even envious, how he could take it on, validate himself with it. it was never anything but cruel to abigail; she looks at dr. lekteris now. if what heâs holding back is anything like what she had experienced, that youth mixed with the concept of stripping life away like oil and water, it dawns on her then that she doesnât truly wish to push it [ her stubborn relentlessness and curiosity be damned ], âiâm sorry i asked.â

âdoes freddie lounds count as news?âÂ
âif youâre not actually interested in any aspect of the truth, sure.â abigail had a relationship with freddie, sure, maybe even trusted her in certain ways; but she wasnât a fool. maybe some of that SUSPICION came from her name in the mouths of others, almost never positive.
raudrakosâ:
@bysurviving / sc.Â
â My father too, was a hunter. I learned how to shoot when I was much younger than you â we had hunting dogs.  JULIAN && VIRGIL ⌠but my father preferred to hunt ducks, and wild geese. Woodcocks ⌠but the forests around our estate were plentiful with ELK. âÂ
HUNTING felt like a bridge between abigail and her father, even now; though it wasnât something she necessarily took an interest in on her own. seeing how much it meant to her father was enough to leave her with an urge to indulge, an urge to be close to him. it was a bloodsport, a feral chase between life and death â playing god. it left her with a sort of sickly feeling every time, something unjust and stressed.Â
picturing dr. lecter with a taste of that leaves her calmed by a strange, rare commonality, âhunting dogs,â she lets the words sit on her tongue for a beat or two, â.. i wish we had some of those,â itâs half wishful and half glum, a small smile in place, âdogs mightâve made things feel a little less brutal.â a brief chuckle finds its way into the words, weaved. abigail shifts where sheâs sat, hands politely in her lap, playing with one another unconsciously.Â
âhow did you feel? you know.. the first time you killed something?âÂ
