Day 7 | The Bridge

Some context:

-Towards the end, I lost a lot of motivation, so the last panel is a little odd looking.

-I realized halfway through drawing this that I didn't want their first kiss to happen in the Upside Down because it would symbolize bad things (decay, death, etc.), but it was too late to change it. I sincerely hope that their first kiss doesn't actually happen in the Upside Down (that being said, I won't complain as long as they kiss).

-This fight is meant to parallel the rain fight with the roles reversed (Will pulling away and Mike trying to get through to him), which is what I actually want their first kiss to be like.

-This is also meant to parallel many of Lumax's heart-to-hearts in season 4. I love both ships and I think they are very similar.

Of course when I saw 'The Bridge' prompt I couldn't resist making an IT reference 😭💕🎈

Done using watercolors, ink pens, alcohol markers, acrylic paint pens and Photoshop for the pattern on Mike's shirt, the leaves and wood bark patterns and blur effect

“Holy shit, Will!” “Will—Will, stop!” It was like a switch had been flipped in him. His limbs were moving of their own accord, and now that he’d started, he couldn’t stop. That tiny, human voice of reason in his head—perhaps the true version of him, whatever that meant—was drowned out by the rushing of blood in his ears. Instead it was replaced by a louder, hungrier voice. Hurt him. He deserves it. Hurt him like he hurt you. Vecna’s? Or his? He didn’t know the difference anymore.

Lately, Will has been feeling more disconnected from himself than ever. Angrier. When the party has a run-in with the jocks, who have defaced Eddie Munson's grave, Will finds that Vecna's influence is getting harder to keep under control.
