dammit, clint was right. still, kate didn’t regret a thing. she would rather be broke for the rest of her life than live a lie. the former socialite shrugged her shoulders at him, grinning. “okay. you can stop calling me katie. are we good?” she said in a playful tone as she sat across from him. “don't worry, i’m going to be okay, clint. well, i’m pretty sure i’m going to be okay. i just need some clients. you know, the whole kang situation isn't good for business.” she sighed. "okay, you got me, my life is a dumpster fire. seriously, i've turned into you."
