i have a dream.

“my mom used to, too. jesse would hit me with my own hand, and kurt and blaine would freak out if i hurt myself. ever since he started being able to hold things, he smacks himself at least five hundred times a day, huh?” she said, kissing julian’s head. “you’re alright. i promise. calm down,” she said, bouncing him lightly as he kept crying. “he’s also teething, so he’s been cranky. i’m waiting for a tooth to pop through, but i don’t even feel a bump in his gums yet. at least, i think he’s teething. he’s been chewing on everything lately.”

“ I know. It’s like we moved here and the rest of the month and a half flew by. It’s crazy that I have been here for that long already. My parents are like in heaven being back here though since they both grew up here, which is weird. y siblings and I think it’s kind of boring. “

“ It’s literally crazy that it’s over. Like where did it go? “

kearstyn laughed as julian managed to bop himself in the head with a toy. she watched his expression go from confused, to pouting, to full blown crying before picking him up and laughing again, kissing his head. “well, stop swinging it around like that, learn to control your little noodle arms. you’re okay,” she said. “does it make me a bad mom for laughing?”

“ I can’t believe this year is already almost over already. “

“ Yea, I mean it was not straight hours but still. I have to get everything up and ready for this week. It’s probably the last one I will upload this year, that is crazy to say. “ 

“ Twelve hours of editing this weeks video and I actually forgot what sunlight looked like for a while there.  “

Yes it does. They are the sweetest, cavity forming sweet. But, I should be thankful, I suppose.

It’s disgustingly adorable, which is why I would love to stop seeing it at the moment.

My father is blasting Journey through the house, dancing with my mom and going on about “the good old days”. I think this may be my cue to get out of the house.

“sadie, sadie puckerman.” she would have reached out and shook her hand, but the setting wasn’t quite formal enough for that and it would mean reaching over her fellow student’s heads. “i’m glad to be here, it’s interesting viewing all the different clubs teaching points, and it’s always good to gather new ideas for my own clubs. not to worry you though, i’m not in any rival singing competition club. just maths and student council.” she gave her a soft smile. if she were to join a glee club, this would probably be it. girl power was entirely her thing and she intended to work hard and attempt to make presidency one day. or at least a high politician and advocate for equal rights. “so do you have a list of recommended songs? my personal favorites are pretty girl, salute, told you so and that’s my girl.” 

“no not all of them, but most of them make the right choices. the ones i know anyways. one of my friends could have kept her baby, she had the money and the room and all that, but she knew she wouldn’t love it. she said if she couldn’t love it herself, she could at least give it to a family that would. i don’t know what i’d do if i’d given julian up. i thought about it for a really long time, but i couldn’t do it,” she said, kissing her son’s head. “that’s okay, though. i’d rather deal with a crazy bitch than not have him. he’s worth it,” she said as julian babbled. “yes, you are. you’re worth every complaint and poop explosion.”

“No it was completely my fault.” Dan admitted as he glanced down at the large coffee mess that currently spanned the width of the sidewalk. “Will you let me buy you a new one? I wasn’t paying attention to where I was walking so it’s really the least I could do.” The man had been to busy lost in the screen of his cell phone to notice the figure coming right at him. 

Aurora stood up, immediately summoning two fellow Cheerios to be her back up. She huddled them around the band an informed them of the song they would be performing. Dancing with the Cheerios was easy because they were able to follow her step so close since all of the moves practically came from practice. She stood in front of the class and clasped her hands together. “Well, when I think girl power I think of the iconic- Demi Lovato. More importantly one song in particular.” She turned dramatically so her back was facing the rest of the class, a Cheerio on either side and she pointed to the band. They began the introduction to the song which she’s sure some girls caught onto quick.

“Are you ready? Ha.” She spoke the intro words to Confident by Demi Lovato. As soon as the first verse came in she spun around and began singing the words with some backup from the Cheerios. The girls slow their movements when coming up to the chorus to build the tension before Aurora belts out the lyrics to the chorus. 

The girls continue the dramatics throughout the rest of the song, speeding up the dances and slowing them down with the beat. She only stops dancing altogether to belt the hook before finishing the song with a strike of a pose. Her chest was heaving up and down, slightly out of breath. She had a smile plastered across her face. She had found herself enjoying this club more and more as the year went on.
