The RFA? Even more curious. L knew about the charity organization, specifically that it was Korea-based. The mention of a “Jumin” coinciding with being involved in the organization led him to believe she was referring to Jumin Han, the businessman who was involved in the RFA. Meaning, this girl was likely not a threat to him. He had been planning on sending a stand-in for L to the next party, and meeting her here could kill two birds with one stone…

No. The risk was far too big.

❝ My name is Hideki Ryuga, ❞ he replied softly, scratching the back of his head. Knowing that this girl was likely Korean, he could assume there was a high chance that dropping a Japanese name would quickly deter her from wanting to speak with him any further. He highly doubted she was well-versed enough in Japanese movie stars to call his bluff, anyway.

❝ I can assure you that the hotel will give you a second room, as this is their fault. If they do not, I have no qualms paying for it myself. ❞ He lifted his suitcase, walking past the woman and approaching the bedroom, completely avoiding her question as to why he had to stay in this room. He cast one more glance at her over his shoulder before muttering dismissively:

“ Excuse me, but how do I know you aren’t trying to simply take my room from me? And you didn’t answer my question... Why is it so important that you have this room? ” she asked, with just a little more force than before. MC fidgeted, her things already set up in the bedroom... A cell phone rested on the bed; her only contact with the RFA. Her lifeblood... As well, a purse was settled on the nightstand, closet open and revealing hanging clothes.

“Yeah yeah, I’m alright..I didn’t mean to almost turn you into a pancake there,” The college student gave a faint laugh and adjusted his glassed (he was tired on his contacts) before offering a hand to pull her up.

The protagonist let out a sweet giggle in return, taking his hand and standing upright with his help. She had to look up still, of course, since she was fairly short. Though, MC was used to it.

She smiled at the other, letting her hand linger in his a little longer than it was supposed to, but not long enough to make it awkward. Subtleties, subtleties...

MC let out a startled gasp when the other fell on top of her, for a moment staying completely still. Despite not having eyes anymore, MC stared up at the male, her easily infatuated heart beginning to swoon. It took her a few moments to finally respond, thinking carefully about what she was going to say; every word had to be calculated perfectly.

New Route? was always her thought the MOMENT she met someone new. At this point, she couldn’t help it. She was addicted.

Watari had assured L that his first trip alone was guaranteed to go on without a hitch, yet, here was another human being in his single room. He brought a finger to his lips, tilting his head slightly to the side.

“I know for certain that this is my private room,” he insisted, setting his suitcase down. “Room 313. You can check the plaque, if you doubt me.” He paused for a moment, his gaze flicking over her. “Although, I suppose the front desk could have made an error…which would be quite unfortunate, as I must have this room.” He averted his gaze to the floor, looking thoughtful.

The girl nervously fidgeted, tugging at her skirt. In person, MC was much more socially awkward. It was easier to pretend and hide behind a screen than act in real life, so she decided sticking with the truth was the best option (unless... she made herself believe in her own lies). She knew for a fact this was, indeed, her room. Maybe, like he’d said, it was an error?

Not wishing to make up a name on the spot, she opted for the next best thing. “ Oh, people usually call me MC... I’m a party planner for the RFA. Maybe you’ve heard of our parties? ” MC hadn’t before thought that it would be a big deal to say this to anyone. After all, she was their party planner, right? There was nothing to lie about, as she continued to remind herself. With obvious hesitation, the eyeless party coordinator tilted her head down, but spoke once more. “ I-I guess I don’t mind leaving this room, but... why is it so important that you stay in this one? Then again, it’s none of my business. ” 

Though, it was her business. This was her room. Her’s. Her’s! Her’s!

“I can’t believe this…How could this have happened to me?”

“What did I do wrong? I did everything right, why did they leave me?!”

“It’s over…I just, don’t know what to do now…”

“I guess I wasn’t good enough for them….”

“I tried and I tried to make things work, but nothing was enough…I don’t understand, why couldn’t I fix things?”

“I guess I’m just unlovable…”

“Why did they do this to me? I loved them…”

“I thought they loved me?….I loved them more than anything…now they’re gone…”

“Hey, look at me. It’s going to be okay, you can make it through this. I’m going to be here for you.”

“Listen to me, you did nothing wrong. You cared about them like you should have, it’s not your fault.”

“Just because they’re gone, doesn’t mean its the end of the world. There are still people out there you love you.”

“You aren’t unlovable, I that for a fact. You know why? Because I love you right now, just the way you are.”

“Sometimes, people won’t ever love you as much as them, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t someone out there who does. You just need to keep searching. They could be closer than you think.”

“You put as much effort into it as you could,t hey just didn’t want to do the same. You just need to find someone who will.”

“You don’t need them to be happy. You can find a way to get through this, and if you struggle I’ll be by your side to help you.”
