Yeah that's you - because you've disagreed with at least one person, about at least one thing in your life. You've been there, he's been there, she's been there, I've been there. Guess what? We all have. There was that one time somebody said something, and oh my goodness, it was out of line. "How could they say something like that?", "How can they think that??", or "Wow they could not be more wrong." You've been there. Because I have, and I don't think that true free will would exist in our human abilities if it weren't true: THERE WILL BE DISAGREEMENTS.
What is life? Life isn't about how much you're going to accomplish, or what you did to make yourself better. Life is about reacting to situations and making decisions based on circumstances. Think about it. Things will happen, but it's not about what it is, it's about how you chose to react to it. That's what will make or break you. So when the disagreement comes, how will you respond? Will you get angry, and out of your utter frustration, decide to belittle the other person, so that you make yourself feel better than them? Or to publicly humiliate them? Or to "prove" your intellectual and educated opinion on the subject (by the way, when I see repetitive cursing and re-use of the same simple and hurtful words, automatically, most credit is thrown out the window). Or will you play a victim, and remind everyone how offended you are? Or will you have a decent, mild, and polite disagreement, and leave it at that?
Because it's so and very too much often we all try to play the bigger person, and we can't just let something that we disagree with slide. I've been the hateful person who's gone out of my way and said something that I just plain shouldn't have. And I'm sorry. Truly. But hear me out; I understand having a position and standing by it. In fact, that's great, I wish everyone would learn a little bit about themselves, then take a stand for something greater. Because one of my favorite quotes of all time, "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything". But there's a difference between standing for something and whole-heartily believing in it, and going out of your way to disprove someone else's belief. If we all were the same and all had the same ideas about everything, I personally think the world would be a lot less interesting. Sure, maybe things would be easier, but when has easy always been the best? You see what I'm getting at? Being different is what makes us, us. So disagree with me. I'm fine with that, and I respect that, especially if you've made a conscious decision to arrive at your position on something. But I won't be attacking you. I'll let you know how my mind works, and if you want to do the same, so be it. I'm not in the game of spitting light, I'll tell it how it is. You can do the same. All I know is that when you come at me with cursing and derogatory language, there's a pretty high chance that my mind especially won't consider changing. :)
