i’ve seen a couple people confuse dazai’s role with jouno’s, so just to clarify!
dazai takes kanae kocho’s role in my au, who is the older sister of shinobu! while jouno takes shinobu kocho’s role!
they also mentioned of kunikida and dazai teaming up i think? and it reminded me of this little lore note a while back
following kny canon, they wouldn’t have met :( …
i’ll still draw kny knkdz tho c: i just thought the lore note would be funny to address

Guys I may have made some connections between the hunting dogs and the armed detective agency (im making it up)
Fukuzawa and Fukuchi have long term ties to the government (fukuzawa was an assassin and fukuchi a war hero)
Ranpo and Tachihara were teenage boys rejected by those around them
Dazai and Jouno are ex crime leaders
Yosano and Teruko are little girls forced into a war they never should have been in
And where does that leave Tecchou??? What does this mean for him??? Is he like Kunikida in which hes the Only Semi Normal Bitch??? Or is he like Tanizaki in which hes seemingly normal but actually the Most Fucked Up
my answer:
i'll give you this, we have never seen tecchou's sanity drop to this degree. but that doesn't mean this doesn't leave a hint:
he is extremely serious when it comes to jouno's wellbeing. nevermind the fact that tachihara was missing, he crossed the line when jouno was missing and assumably taken by the vampires. unlike tanizaki who only lives for naomi's wellbeing, tecchou lives not just for jouno but for the hunting dogs and the people he serves. that's probably why we haven't seen him break as far as tanizaki has before.
give him a couple chapters and some prayers that he won't get absolutely benched by asagiri, let's see what happens when he reunites with a mindless jouno and no other living hunting dog in his peripheral vision.

i've always thought it was a missed opportunity to have an amputee in the main cast moving forward, but i do understand that it will not make much sense narratively (given yosano's ability)... so how about a kunikida joining the hunting dogs and getting prosthetic hands as part of his deal?
