Hey idk who needs this but helpful reminder that "virgin blood" in any witchcraft shit that requires that means "virgin" in the same sense as "virgin hair" means hair that hasn't been dyed or processed in any way, natural in the default sense. So no, "virgin blood" doesn't mean blood from a virgin, just blood that hasn't been used for any other kind of witchy shit earlier.

Whether nor not someone has fucked before is completely irrelevant. Any act of fucking doesn't instantly make someone contaminated or un-magic any of their shit. You're just not supposed to re-use blood for blood magic. That's just not. Just do not. Like that's just weird who does that.

common issues i’ve seen ppl have commenting and how to fix it:

‘i don’t want ppl to know i commented on this fic!’ — leave a guest comment.

‘i don’t know what to say!’ — leave hearts, or a keyboard smash, or copy paste a moment u liked and then hearts. (personally i like to do little play by plays of what stood out to me e.g ‘character A being so cute, character B dying while me and character A eat popcorn’ all of them give the dopeamine hit!

‘but this fic is old and/ or i’m really behind!’ — leave the comment anyway this is an archive! authors will cackle if u mention something that happens the next chapter. if i wake up and see two comments from the same account ‘is this gonna happen?’ next chapter ‘oh shit yet did!’ my week has been made i swear.

in conclusion it’s an archive! authors often say kudos and comments fuel them bc it’s true! and lastly,

no one cares!

no one is clicking ‘more users kudos’ five times to find ur name, no one is digging through comments on a fic they didn’t read to find you. if they are 1 creepy, 2 block them, 3 change ur acc name, 4 what are you doing at the devils sacrament? you read this fic and the comments and found my name and you think u have a leg to stand on?!? that insane behaviour!

so i haven't been online in ages... and i also hate posting HP stuff.... however i had a very fun idea

Saint Patrick rounded up the snakes of Ireland; aka, killed all the pagans.

What if those pagans were wixen. What if they were witches and wizards and druids and squibs and even muggle pagans living in community worshiping the same gods, sharing medicine and food, teaching all their children together, etc.

What if many of them were Parselmouths.

We often do the Salazzar line stemming from Greece and Indian Parselmouths being treated better.

So why not do Celtic Parselmouths? I think it’d be cool. Especially because I like Harry’s distinctive eyes being magical, specifically a snake blessing.

We don’t know much for sure but some believe Saint Patrick was the squib child of a catholic witch who was killed by the pagan group and he killed them all in revenge.

and then you get to have cool and fun conversations about colonisation, and how 'traditional values' are often not very old and there have been many communities throughout history that were much more open than now, and how they can still have done wrong.

and also cool fun world building and the old ways and all that. (also i saw one (1) post about a magical historian and i can not stop thinking of Lily Evans who wanted to record all kinds of niche magics and document them so people in the future can learn about them as a large portion of the disdain for muggleborns is the belief they are diluting magic and that is why family gifts are being lost but that's a whole other post!
