Butler of the Count

Whoops! It has been quite a while since I've been on here, or any of the blogs that are associated with this email... Though I've come back and thankfully I did see this! I do have a feeling I saw this too late but hey, late is better than never!

So I would say a hiatus for all of my blogs until I can get the framework is safe to count on for now. From the looks of it, I don't have that much to go but counting all the blogs I have, even the inactive ones that I do want to get to writing on someday, it'll make up to about half of what I've already done. The Universes pages shouldn't be that worrisome for some unless they are solo muses or not multimuse, but other than that just bios and explaining my takes on the characters I'll be writing and such!

If you want to ask some of the muses some anon questions, feel totally free to do so and I'm sure they will get back to you, whether some of them want to talk about the topics or not...

...in a blink of an eye a massive lightray shot out of his hands, reaching far into the distance. Kizaru began glowing, and as seconds went by his body had converted into a pillar of light, then disappeared in a flash.

What?! It can talk?! Oh, of course it can, there’s been stranger occurrences out in the world.... The vulture thought to himself as his beak was left agape for a small moment before closing again. “No, I have not, and for your sake, you should pray that I do not see another one.”, Igor grumbled as he rose a hand towards his tie and adjusted it. Returning his gaze up towards the other one, he bluntly explained, “East would be towards the forest down at the bottom of the hill. Trek that area with caution, for.....” he paused to let out a chuckle. “It could be rather dangerous for you to traverse it.”

The vulture definitely wasn’t amused by what he was witnessing at the moment. It truly felt like there was a joke or important event going on and he wasn’t invited or around to get the jist of it. As the frown on his beak became more pronounced, Igor crossed his arms as he was quickly losing his patience with this whole affair.

“That is exactly what they are. They can also be called scrap books and include much more than just photographs. Like leaves from the trees, buttons from clothes and other such things.” She let go of the door and stepped inside herself, the door slowly closing by itself. Andy led her guest over to the elevator doors and pressed the button to summon it. The pair of doors in the middle of the three slid open and she stepped inside the lit box.

“‘Scrap book’? Such an.... intriguing way to term something that would hold such sentimental value to a person. It sounds as if it would be the exact opposite of what one would like for their memories and mementos to be called.”, the duck explained, perhaps giving away more than he had hoped with his opinions and confusion on the subject. It wouldn’t be very typical of someone to say if they had been here before, and these collections were apparently a mainstay in culture. He let his arms fall back under his cape as he continued on with the other inside of some revolving doors. Definitely looked like the work of witchcraft.

The squirrel was still out cold on the table right where he left her. Maybe it was a combination of the dart and her traveling for a few days. Either way, the old vulture could press forward with whatever he had planned for her.

Given how this night had been very uneventful for him and the rest of the inhabitants of the castle, Igor didn’t really feel the need to rush with his plan as he did prefer to be precise and not hasty. Besides, it was always nice to contemplate on other matters while also creeping on unaware victims like the good old days..... Ah yes, like the days of old in which there was real fun to be had, not the wretched drivel that the master considers “fun”. He thought to himself as he carried the squirrel’s belongings with him back towards the kitchen.

In time he arrives at the kitchen, lightly dropping the other’s possessions as he then went to go look in one of the drawers for a tool he would need soon. 

“Your kind words are most appreciated friend. And to answer your question, I actually don’t. I take a photograph of either the beautiful landscape or a historic landmark. And then those photos go into a very special photo album I have.” Once they made it to the main entrance of her building, she took out a key card and scanned it. The door unlocked and she pulled it open. “After you sir.”

Not entirely what he had expected of the other to do when it came to how they described their tradition for it, but then again, it wasn’t his matter to really involve himself with. Certainly nothing that would warrant his observation or suggestion, and she seemed content with her current process of handling it so it was best not to oppose it.

Her bag was right where she had left it. Right next the bed on the floor. It was still open and some of the contents had fallen out when she dodged the darts. But the one that landed a hit was laying on top of one of her shirts. The others all stuck in the wall on the other side of the room.

After she was laid out on the table, she tried lifting a hand to rub at her forehead, but it felt like lead. So she gave up on it, and after hearing Igor’s words she slowly nodded to show she understood. And right then the squirrel passed out once again.

A sigh of what could only feel like a mixture of relief and irritation flew out of the old vulture’s nostrils as he believed that this would not be particularly easy. Nonetheless he was this far with the plan so far so he should carry the rest out and get it over with. Whether the master liked it or not at least he got to have some enticing fun again that compared to the days of old. Igor was on his way towards the room he had shown her before to get her possessions and bring them back like he said. Should she rise sooner than expected it would at least be more easier to explain himself and give it another go when she had her guard down.

“It actually has. The people I’ve met, the cases I’ve taken on. It really has been a fulfilling life for me. And to be perfectly honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way.” The squirrel said and she made a left turn. Her building was now just a couple of blocks away. “And I have my own private collection. I have this habit of buying something from a country I’ve visited while on a case that brings me back to those victories I’ve had over my foes, and the people I’ve protected. I call them ‘Memory Tokens’.”

“That’s very well said of you. Most people wouldn’t truly.... savor or appreciate the experiences they witness and think of them as annoyances or negatives to grip about.”, Balthazar proclaimed with a more uplifting tone with his gravelly voice, as his arms were hidden underneath his cloak. He continued following the other, also making the left turn while he brought his yellowed eyes to see the unusual structures that were around him. It certainly had not looked like anything he had ever seen before, and whatever thing he did recognize some part of did not seem to have aged gracefully.

Attending the door once more before any unwanted hens would break down yet another perfectly fine door that fit with the aesthetic of the castle, the vulture’s yellow eyes had peered up to see that the visitor, or trespasser, was quite irregular. Definitely not something that he had seen ever before, but that did not frighten him. There were things that he had seen that were far worse than this.

Andy believed the old vulture’s lies and seemed to settle down. But even though she stopped squirming and talking, that didn’t mean she passes out again. But it was more than enough to keep the toxins in her system for a while longer. All she did for the time being was watch the stone walls pass by as he carried her.

Taking some more steps to find a large enough table to lay the squirrel down on while he was in the kitchen, Igor had wondered how long the toxin would last in order for him to retrieve the other’s belongings and come back. At least it would be something to comfort her should it wear out faster than he wanted it too for him to go through with the plan he had in mind. Surely the master may not approve of his idea but he would come over it eventually.

“Hm? You’re asking me why I ever became a villain? Tut..... well, don’t the villains usually get to have more fun? I wanna have fun, not be bound by some stupid schmancy-fancy rules that would take away all the freedom I have. Rules are for losers, and I, am a winner! And another thing, the heroes don’t get to wear cool costumes a lot like the villains do. You won’t ever see Danger Mouse and his buddies wearing anything that would top my valiant, vibrant violet and sweet, sick scarlet outfit. My threads, are simply ‘off limits’ to any hero that wants to even try being as stylish or handsome as Mwah.”
