I find it kind of intriguing how the concept for this artms comeback is seemingly. about kpop whitewashing? the blonde hair paired with the blue contacts and the imagery in the official born stunner mv of Korean girls putting in contacts, wearing blonde wigs, and breaking mirrors, seems like they're doing as explicit social commentary as you can as a kpop group. like artms has had this theme of the deification of k-idols for a bit but even the title 'born stunner' feels like a reference to the way teenage girls are expected to envy the 'natural' beauty of clearly manufactured corporate projections of women. and of course coming from modhaus this whole concept is ironic but that is a topic beyond the scope of this post
