I cried a lot tonight watching The Last of Us and I mean a few things happened that warranted that but overall I’m not sure what was going on other than a release of pent up emotions. This season has been a little exhausting as someone that’s a fan of the game and the show and chronically online. The hate I’ve come across is (imo) mostly unwarranted. I love this adaptation even if there’s been things I’ve disagreed with. I think the podcast and the making of featurettes explain everything so wonderfully. I’ve cried at different times in the show than I cried in the games and it’s like what more could I want from an adaptation than to expand or distill a story that’s already near perfect? Also Shimmer and Alice surviving >>> (I really hope we see Alice in season 3 and like Shimmer, she gets left in an innocuous place and referenced by characters but never returns to accept her video game fate)

Me thinking I’d be fine bc I knew what was about to happen and then Bella started crawling to him and I absolutely lost it and the way I’ve been filled with anxiety all day bc I felt like it was coming, why am I like this? Why can’t I just be normal and casual about the things I like?
