That would make sense, however all of the Mad Burnish got arrested out of their uniforms well into the beginning of the movie. Every member of Burning Rescue saw them, plus Vulcan (since he also showed up), and likely Kray, since he had the guys sent off to the high security prison.

Which was an oversight on my part, I was recounting the movie by memory, so I forgot such a tidbit like that. I still do agree it's likely of their suits, and if anything, their faces were used later.

It'd be so funny if when their faces were finally realized, all of the burnish just start mogging the camera with their lethal face cards

Re: your post about Anti Burnish propaganda using the faces of the Mad Burnish, I don’t think the general public knew their faces, due to Galo’s shock of seeing Lio’s face in their first fight, well into the beginning of the movie. Galo is more than invested in his work, so he’d probably recognize Lio and not have something to say about his appearance.

But, now I wonder if Galo told anyone (namely Kray) how Lio looked, and then propaganda was made off of that. Ofc that’d be something that would have happened ‘off-screen’, but could you imagine the posters about it? Some scratchy artistic rendition of Lio posed like it’s a mugshot, with some rude one liner below it. Ngl would love to own a poster like that. Cool thoughts and theories.

It’s also interesting to add on that Galo must’ve been the only one to have seen any of burnish! The public most likely only knew them by nickname or something. So perhaps the propaganda was of their mechs, so potentially the burnish could’ve been hiding in plain sight.

Weird Idea : Mad Burnish BUT they’re based off circus acts

Lio : Ringleader for obvious reasons (he is in charge of everything)

Meis : acrobatics because he seems like he’d be extremely flexible in a physical sense and in the sense that he can quickly adapt and bend himself to what is needed at the moment

Gueira : The strong man due to his drive to be seen as strong by the people who once rejected him for not looking the part

Weapon(s) I’d give Meis and Gueira because they also deserve cool weapons

Gueira : I’d give him these boxing glove looking things with spikes on them OR a giant hammer with spikes. Gueira seems like a character who would prefer close range combat given his more aggressive and hot tempered nature so it makes more sense to give him weapons that allow close contact.

Meis : Meis was a bit harder to brainstorm for as I already had a weapon for him before I realized, how the hell could he hold a weapon inside the mech suit? Buggy has no hands. So I came up with the idea of two guns so when he’s outside the mech, he has one in each hand and when he’s in the mech maybe his bug arms turn into guns. Anyway I picked a gun because first off, yeehaw Texan and because if Gueira is close ranged then Meis being his polar opposite would most likely be long distance.

I find it funny when people say Lio is the parent figure of Mad Burnish, but I like to think about it as Gueira and Meis attempting to raise a child (Lio's grown ass) in their own special and rather odd way. May include making sure the child is fed, protected, and is well educated in arson.
