Feline ears twitch in curiosity for a moment, chocolate gaze focused on the man sitting not too far away. That stoic yet fierce vibe spoke of someone who probably shouldn’t be toyed with, and yet… It felt as though there was something more brewing beneath that outer shell.

The curiosity over that ‘something more’ soon won out, and Cheshire made a quiet approach— hints of a grin already curving at the edges of his lips as he leaned in close. “Got something weighing on your mind, hmm~?” The question rolled with a playful sort of lilt.

“Oh, I know— could you be lonely sitting here by yourself~?” Despite asking the question, it wasn’t all too clear if the answer was all that important to him, given the next words to leave his mouth… “I’ll just keep you company for a while then~.” With a satisfied sort of hum, he reached out and lightly patted the older man’s cheek— then, rather gracefully, seated himself beside the other.

Oh dear, it looked a lot like rain… And while a light shower wouldn't be much of a bother if it was still nice and sunny out, evening was approaching soon. And the last thing Cheshire wanted was to be stuck out in the rain whilst trying to find a place for the night. However, maybe a touch of luck would be his favor…

Spotting a pub tucked away in one of the backstreets he'd been wandering, the cat soon waltzed his way inside. A touch surprised to find it quite empty, but at the same time, a touch thankful for that… Given the strong scent of canines that hit him upon stepping inside. But aside from a flick of his ears, he didn't let a reaction to the scent show. Instead turning his attention to the gruff looking man manning the bar, and offering a charming sort of smile.

"Evening~, I hope that I haven't stopped in while you're getting ready to close up for today?" Half phrasing his words as a question, the feline went ahead with claiming a seat at the bar. "It looks like rain, you see, so~… I was hoping to hide out from the weather for a while, if you'd be so kind as to allow this stray a seat." He chuckled a little with that, and though perhaps his presence carried the impression of drinking… It wasn't an implication said outright. After all, it wasn't like the cat presently had any money on him.

{✧} - It took one mention of a potentially hungry cat, and Doopliss' attitude changed in an instant. "What would you like?" He scooped Dewey off his head (much to the duck's chagrin). "I have a cat familiar too, so I have anything your little heart desires. I have Fancy Feast, tuna, chicken-" A startled honk came from Dewey. "-no duck though. This one isn't on the menu. And neither is my rat."

A slightly cheeky grin curved over the ravenette's lips at the other man's change of attitude, slender tail doing a subtle sway before curling in interest. "Hmm~…" He hummed at first, giving a moments thought as the blonde scooped the duck from atop his head. Something which did almost have the feline chuckle-- A temptation that was soon given into thanks the duck's startled honk.

"I like the sound of chicken or tuna best~" He began, pausing for a slight note of laughter before continuing. "You've got nothing to worry about, I promise~. It's been quite some time since I've last had the want to hunt rodents." Golden gaze then focused on the duck with his next comment. "And you look like much too handsome a fellow to consider making into dinner." A charming sort of smile crossing his lips along with the compliment.

With that bit of flattery aside, however, he lessened the distance between himself and the blonde. Silently letting on that he was prepared to follow, wherever it was the two of them would be headed.
