i remember how you used to stare at me. with stars dancing in your eyes and an award winning crooked smile. you used to look at me like i was your only source of light in this dark and cruel world — like you needed me. i’m sick of this feeling you’ve caused. exactly two years today, you courageously asked me to be yours. funny how i remember that of all things, but still can’t remember how to do a simple quadratic equation. no, you see… you’ve left this sickening mark on me, on my heart, and every time we come in contact i can help but feel the inevitable electricity coursing through my veins. you caused this. this unnecessary addiction. it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that i am absolutely, unconditionally and undeniably in love with you. and that’s that. i miss the gentle touch of your lips on mine and secure grip you held on my waist. i crave to see the possession in your eyes once more, and i so desperately want the words ‘i miss you too’ to roll off your tongue so effortlessly and in truth. because it’s been near a year and a half since we haven’t been together, and sure we talk shere and there, sure you claim you’ve missed me and want me; but how can i believe you? after all we’ve been through, i simply can’t forget the fact that you broke my heart. no matter how bad i want you, i’m not sure i can have you.
