ITS SO POSSIBLE!!!!! i’ve got two black leather jackets already and a leather button up shirt (doesn’t fit me quite right sadly😭). leather pants is something i’m Excited for, but i’m fuckin picky about it lol. i used to work at a consignment leather store and i had a staff discount so i could get Beautiful stuff for soooo fucking cheap. i got a pair of $1200 for 149. my nice jacket 140, my other 60, my shirt 30. i miss that job :’)

my dream would be to own a langlitz or schott jacket… they’re so fucking sexy…. and i want a niiiice pair of pants.. ideally uniform style, and i want strips down the side >:) maybe i’ll end up making my own since ive been getting into leatherworking… we’ll see

and as for conditioning and caring for leather: SOOOO FUCKING AGREE!!!!! at my old job i saw so many things come in that were so poorly taken care of, and i got to give them the love they needed…. i also saw things that had been loved for years and years before being brought in to consign, and that was its own form of beauty.

i usually use Huberd’s shoe grease to condition my gear, but i recently got into canadian bee seal, which is also safe to apply by hand (sadly not as non-toxic as huberds though) and i’ve also picked up BICK 1 and 40 to clean and condition my boots.

me and my friends are about to go on a road trip, including several of us buying new boots (secondhand), and then we’re gonna take care of them together. i taught one of them bootblacking which was a really intimate and wonderful thing to do together….. leather has truly brought me more love and family than i could have ever expected.

i am also a part of the local men in leather group in my city, and i’m one of the few trans people there. it’s a really great scene, but definitely hard to be young in.. i’m excited to grow closer to this group, and to learn more about leather care, and bootblacking.
