thinking about jack comforting you in his lap after a hard day. you’re sniffling and crying into his shoulder, clinging onto him for dear life while he coos over your ear. you’re such an emotional girl, you stay strong most of the time but when you’re home and in the comfort of his arms, you can’t help it. and god, he hates seeing you like this…
his strong, warm hands gently rub your back. one settling right between your hips while the other finds a home between your shoulders. you’re melting into him with your chest pressed against his own, taking all the snuggles and warmth you need from him in such a greedy way. your arms remain wrapped around his neck as you leave little tear stains on his shirt and sniffle once more, looking up at him.
“‘m sorry, jack— jus’ so tired, and i think my period is coming and everyone was so mean today, and—” you blubber out, and he can hear the waver in your voice. he can hear the fresh wave of tears and see the way your pouty bottom lip wobbles under the weight of your sadness.
it nearly breaks his heart all over again.
he hushes you softly, placing one hand on the back of your head to remind you he’s right here, “you know i always got you.” he mumbles, pressing his lips to your forehead and then your temple with such tenderness and affection that you forget why you’re so upset for a moment— “never apologize for bein’ my little crybaby again, got it?”
