Here’s the OG, which I believe was made in 2024-5? There was definitely a lot of art improvement since then, but I still find my older designs ADORABLE ><

Amidst the chaos of my own home, I’ve been partly-working on writing these two’s little story! But since that isn’t finished, I’ll give a little rundown of who they are as Characters so far! 💫

Irys Skye; (on the right)

✩ Irys is a star/celestial entity whom fell down from her lovely home among the clouds into another world. She is very spunky, energetic little spark who finds almost everything fascinating. As she still burns with child-like wonder in her spirit.

Rinku Woodland; (on the left)

∗ Rinku is a grey tree frog, he found Irys lying with many burning injuries in his own backyard. Being empathetic (and also extremely fascinated by astronomy) he took her into his home to nurse her back to health.

∗ Almost oppositely to Irys, Rinku is a very plain fellow, not seeing the world with the same wonder as she does. As if he saw everything in a tint of grey, he’s rather blunt and ‘boring’- one could say. Though his kindness and compassion shine as bright as any star!

Together, these two make an oddly inseparable pair of pals who get into all sorts of mayhem ♡

ok so not to forcefully adopt this idea as an au from @katzebruh or anything (because i'm unreasonably insane about it for some reason, literally a dozen other caine-centric AUs out there that are infinitely more complex and compelling and i picked this one, fuck it dawg we ball) but my headcanon is that caine genuinely was testing out modifiers and accidentally fucked up forever, if i had a nickel- and he's super conflicted about it...

because on one hand... he's a silly cat furry thing now and literally whats not to love? the humans like it and admittedly doing kitty things is really nice sometimes! chin scritches have never felt so good, honestly he would figure out how to get rid of it sooner if everyone wasn't enjoying it so much!

on the other hand... yikes... an unfixable bug? one that screws with his brain? stop me if you've heard this one before-
