I watched (what were to me) five new episodes of YYH last night (on our big TV screen! It was great!) I’m close to finishing the series for the first time in my life, and I can already sense that the ending is going to feel too soon for me, as it has for so many others. Another thing I love about Togashi’s characters is that when he adds in new ones the plot doesn’t get muddled or torn – they become a part of the big “family” and bring out even more angles to the already established characters.

Anyway, there was all kinds of good stuff that I’ll start raving about shortly, but to start: I love how Mukuro has become part of the club of People Who Know Hiei is Full of Shit, because she makes no secret of it. Hiei’s all like

I’m not gonna think anything of it if I have to make shish-kebab of these people.

Seriously, everyone in this stadium can go fuck themselves.

Mukuro looks straight to Kurama and you know she ain’t buyin’ that shit.

“Really? Everyone?”

“Yep. You heard me. Even you.”

Now, she has been around Hiei long enough to be able to translate his Assholic, a language she knew bits and pieces of already, and she is clearly flattered.

“Aww, thanks. I hate you too,” she thinks.

Another random, nameless YYH doujinshi that I picked up at NYCC! This time a Hiei/Mukuro one, which is thankfully rather tame and fluffy, if not a bit OOC.

Not much to say about this one, aside from the fact that it’s a little short, though the artwork is sweet and it’ll probably be a nice addition for any Hiei and Mukuro fans’ collection. It’s in good condition, hardly out of it’s protective wrap, so treat it nicely!
