I don't see what's so confusing about the idea that Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance would be trapped in a femdom torture+reanimation prison for two centuries and escape with heavy trauma and turn to making mixtapes of audio of their own snuff films to regain control over what happened to them and DJing those mixes in half-collapsed iron mines while also collecting nationalist memorabilia semi-ironically and intermittently taking shifts gutting fish for old women between couchsurfing meanwhile the other members of their band escape to various areas in the world to varying degrees of success and try to collaborate on a plan to return them to the United States all while powerful political figures in the background variously blackmail and attempt to usurp each other in response to the scandal of the Black Parade's escape. All makes perfect sense to me

The thing that pisses me off when people call MCR sellouts for their ticket prices is becoming they're probably the only stadium band making DAMN sure you get every penny of worth out of that ticket

Their ticket prices are pretty much the exact same as any other band playing the same stadiums and just doing a standard 2 hour greatest hits set but they're giving you a whole damn stage play. 10 minute break between sets? Don't worry they have their cellist ready to play for you. Want to feel like you're a part of the show even from the cheap seats? Of course, you get to vote in an execution! Hate all this theatrical nonsense and wish you could see them in an intimate club like the good ol days? Well they can't reduce capacity, but they can set up a tiny stage right in the middle of the crowd!

you’re a teenager in gubrick province on your first night out your older friends are taking you to their favorite underground club out in an old wheat field in the middle of nowhere the whole place is totally full of cigarette smoke and people in old school draag military gear. someone offers you “real MOAT aggro pills” to help you get freaky in the pit but you’re nervous so you turn them down and your friends say it’s probably cut with hella chaff anyways. the set starts and everyone gets quiet as fuck but you have no idea who’s supposed to be playing tonight so you just try to get a good spot at the back where you can see. your first thought when the headliner comes out is she’s a little old to be in a place like this. your second thought is she looks kind of like someone you used to see on tv when you were a kid. your third thought is she’s the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen. someone lights her cig for her and then she gets her gear booted up and the most insane real-sounding screaming you’ve ever heard fills the warehouse and she starts screaming over top of it and you realize she and the track sound exactly the same right before the synths kick in. the MCR ended up busting the place that night and burned it down and thank the wheat everyone got out ok but it was still the greatest night of your life

there’s one comment on the yt video insisting they know someone who knows someone who lives in gubrick and saw the headliner for that show get straight up gutted when they tried to interfere with a MOAT arrest and then walk it off like nothing happened but it has zero likes and one comment calling the story fake and gay
