Just a small thought i had today that i belive is worth sharing... About what "a poser" would be but not as an insult and yes the meaning and reason of why the terms is used... Evertime i see a fan use that term to call someone is usually fir a person that comes to say "who even cares" into this fans thoughts and opinion about something they truly love and live for, followed by some kind of coment made to take of that things value (like in mlp: "just talking horse kid's show") and etc... And yes, belive or not, that are people who genuinely care and get their lives and visions changed by something that doesn't mean that much to you... And make some sord of fun about it is not nice at all... not caring about the essence of not even the simplest/smallest things is what i think that keeps ruining humanity + the selfishness and lack of empathy for the other... and what you can call "posers" end up doig just that, that's why i don't appreciate or indulge with someone like that and it bothers me in particular to see someone do such a thing especially with art, fandons and subcultures, cuz besides fun, those things are all about a person's essence and expression... A content enjoyer might not get what a fan feels about a piece , but no matter what, having respect for others, not just in physical matter but reality and personal values is the bare minimum...
(i don't indulge with gate keeping as well tho, if you r thinking on being mean about my thoughts sorry but u r actually the real problem here, but if you just wanna talk about it to share your thoughts then be nice and i will gladly answer for us to have a health discussion and implement on eachothers povs ♡)
