when i started watching lost i saw people saying that jate was always going to be the big thing and that skate wasn't important meanwhile i watched 4 seasons of kate and sawyer falling in love with each other, connecting to each other etc. the thing about skate is that not only they have a connection on the island their lives have been interwined since the beginning, jacob meeting both of them as kids, Kate meeting sawyer's baby mother, them having similar life styles due to their parents etc... im not saying kate didn't have feelings for jack obviously that's not true, but acting like kate never loved sawyer or saying that skate isn't narratively important just isn't true, especially when most kate episodes feature sawyer and skate and sawyer episodes feature kate and skate...even in s5 kate's episode is very interwined in sawyer's character and reveals that kate took aaron because sawyer broke her heart and i have one question. if sawyer and kate aren't important and jack was the big love of her life then why wasn't jack enough after they went back?? more importantly if it's supposed to be this amazing slowburn why didn't jack ever do much to be with her? he said i love you once and wanted her to be in front of his surgery which really isn't much at all for 4 seasons

it actually kinda blows my mind that the writers didn’t fully close the door on bangel and kept acting like they were a possibility after I Will Rememebr You. for all of btvs s3 were told over and over again that they cannot be together because of his curse. and in I Will Remember You the main take away from that episode is that angel would not become human and be with buffy if given the option because he believes buffy’s love for him will get her killed. that should be the end of it. no matter what they can’t be together. what does it matter if angel fulfills the shanshu prophecy and becomes human. he literally already decided that it still wouldn’t work. why are we still doing this dance and forcing both angel and buffy to regress by several years so they can act like love sick teenagers every time they’re in the same room. am i the crazy one.
