~That first kiss in Buddy’s car, fresh from the movie theater is what throws Eric. He’s so shocked and has about a million thoughts running through his mind. And maybe it was insensitive, but the first thing he blurts out is ‘You’re gay?!’

~Buddy is cool about it, Buddy is just that kind of guy which Eric always liked. Liked…now that was interesting. Eric wasn’t one to let things go, no he usually did something stupid to worsen the situation.

~So when things blow over…and it looks like the situation is going to be forgotten, Eric does just that.

~He questions Buddy about why he likes him. And when he smiles and calls him cute, Eric just can’t take it. For years, he got bullied and people made comments here and there about his sexuality. He never gave it the time of day, but here was this guy with just about the cutest smile he’s ever seen.

~He looks around and no one’s there…so he goes for it. And kisses him. It’s different this time, considering he’s the one who started it.

~Thats when it starts. Buddy & Eric. Eric likes the sound of that. And Buddy seems thrilled.

~Eric doesn’t want to hurt Donna, he’d never dream of it. So he sits her down and breaks off what hadn’t even started yet. Donna’s hurt, he can tell. But the girls his best friend, he isn’t going to lose her. He doesn’t mention Buddy yet.

~Eric isn’t sure how to bring up the Buddy topic, he’d been hanging around him so often that his friends were sure to notice.

~Surprisingly, Hyde is the one to bring it up first. When he and Eric are watching TV in the basement. They’re smoking, cause when are they not? And through the corner of his lips Hyde just goes “The whole gay thing….it’s cool with me, you know?”

~Eric swallows and nods. “Oh cool….”

~It makes sense that Hyde would just know. Hyde is Hyde.

~The moment passes. And Hyde and Eric are still best friends. So Eric feels a little bit better.

~Eric and Buddy study together. This is how Eric discovers Buddy is quite literally the cutest human he’s ever met.

~He gets sidetracked, balancing the pencil under his nose and telling Eric fun stories. Eric can’t help but get sidetracked too.

~The first time Buddy comes to the basement while everyone else is there, Kelso asks Buddy why he didn’t think he was cute. Eric is about to correct his insensitive behavior.

~But Buddy is quick to comment. “You’re just not my type…I have good taste.”

~Hyde gives Buddy a high-five cause that was a good burn. And the group laughs together, Buddy feels accepted.

~Buddy, Fez and Jackie are a power team. Buddy helps Fez figure a lot of things out about himself. Fez is so grateful.

~Eric teaches Buddy how to do smoke rings. Although sometimes Eric can’t do it. Maybe it’s cause he’s laughing too hard or just cause he forgot how. He was never good at that sort of stuff.

~They go on drives together. Eric always wants to take Buddy’s cool car but Buddy loves the Vista Cruiser…it’s just so Eric. And he loves it.

~They never really 'come out’ to the group, everyone just knows. Donna has a tough time at first but she is strong and recognizes a good guy when she sees one.

· One of the things he and Eric bonded over was the fact that Buddy have an older brother that, just like Laurie, was the favorite child. His name is Oliver and he only became the favorite after Buddy came out, since before that, he was only an “useless pothead” in their father’s eyes.

· Despise that, Buddy and Oliver were nothing like Eric and Laurie. They both were pretty close and always got each other’s back. So much that Oliver was the first person Buddy ever came out to.

· Buddy came out to his brother at fourteen, but only told his parents one year later, on his fifthteen birthday.

· He was only considered to be the ‘golden child’; with good grade and good manners. He would play games with his father and help his mother do the dishes. But after he came out, pretty much everything changed. His father would barely look him in the eyes and his mother would pretend that nothing happened.

· At a very young age, Buddy started liking musical theatre and would spend the day singing the tunes to his favorite plays. But after his father made a joke about him 'acting gay’, he tried to keep it down, frightened that he would possible be giving something away and that people may start noticing something. But after he came out to his parents he decided to drop the act, even joining the drama clama at school.

· The first musical he ever watched was West Side Story, wich he instantly fell in love with. So when he meet a girl named Maria in fourth grade, thought it was meant to be.
