(Feel free to keep scrolling, just needed a place to say this without any of my friends getting upset with me for not eating)

I suffered from an eating disorder a few years ago. I wasn’t doing it to lose weight, I did it because food was the only thing I could control. I was working two jobs and trying to see how long I could starve myself before needing just a few calories. It came to the point where I was going about every other day without food and the days I did eat, I’d have no more than 4 bites. After some health complications, I saw how awful I was treating my body.

I’ll admit my eating habits still aren’t perfect but they’re good. It’s just... sometimes it creeps up on me. For example: if I go 8 hours without eating, there’s a tiny voice in the back of my head “it’s fine! You’ve gone longer than this cmon let’s make this the longest you’ve gone without.” Or sometimes I find myself counting calories even though there’s no need but still that voice, “this probably has a lot of calories, maybe try something else.” And even today, I’ve had a stressful day, I got home after work and realized I haven’t ate for 24 hours... and there was that voice “hell yeah! 24 hours and you didn’t feel like passing out once! You know you don’t have to eat everyday.”
