— lieb headcanon: that time of the month
about: my monthly subscription to satan’s waterfall had the ✨kindness✨ to wait until i got off work today. and i wanted to do some headcanons for lieb taking care of you when ✨that time of the month✨ comes
warnings: natural body stuff!!
— off the bat, joe can tell. he knows your body language, and can see the discomfort in your eyes.
— “is it bad today? what do you need?”
— with many materials in high demand during the war, “health sponges” were used to soak up that ketchup. and lieb, not knowing if you needed one, two, or three, got more than necessary and picked up some sweets for you while on leave
— “dark chocolate, milk chocolate, ice cream, the whole shabang.”
— joe going to eugene with questions like, “she’s got some killer cramps. does morphine do anythin’ for that kind of stuff?”
— sometimes your cramps render you immobile. joe tells you to stay put, and he gets anything you need. pillows to support that lower pack discomfort, blankets he swiped from other bunks, and nixon’s best pain killers (for his hangover headaches)
— staying with you to massage your back and distract you with his favorite dick tracy comics
— “don’t get up, i’ll carry you.”
— if you bleed through onto the sheets, joe will take care of it. he doesn’t care and won’t judge you. he never wants you to be embarrassed by something you can’t control
— same goes for body changes. bloated? chest swollen? he won’t care
— no but he’ll swipe cans of peaches and other fruits for you and if he gets in trouble so be it
— “sobel wants to take my weekend pass? whatever.”
— sobel will NOT fuck with you
— joe being genuinely curious and asking you questions about your period. then being VERY surprised and concerned
— “when you sneeze it does WHAT?”
— joe just wanting to be as helpful as possible. he keeps bringing you things and asking, “will this help?” and after some “no’s” from you he KEEPS COMING BACK WITH MORE
— sometimes you match joe’s sassy attitude and the whole of easy company is like, “oh no there’s two of them.”
— at the end of the day, joe is happy to take care of you when you need it. you need a teddy bear? he’s it. you need a hershey’s bar? he’ll swipe several
