But the overall outcome remains the same. The King is the central piece, the Queen is his strength and protector, and the other pieces act on their behalf, to guard and capture.

*screeches* YES, my friend, yes.   Black Sails is the gay pirate extravaganzathat we all need, and it’s LITERALLY Treasure Island fanfic, and yet Tumblr isignoring it.  (And you’re right, themusic is phenomenal.  I am constantlyhumming the theme right now, just walking around like “shit, I cannot getenough of that hurdy gurdy.”)

And the straight-baiting. Shit, I want that all the time now. Give me all this hetero character development, over multiple seasons,and then BAM, drop that queer bomb on me. That plot is golden and it will never get old.  

You mentioned in an early ask that Toby got thicker as theshow went on, and…yes.  Let’s talk aboutthat (and shamelessly advertise Black Sails while we’re at it).
